Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a method and a device for terminal and base station operations relating to QoE measurement of multi-modal traffic in a next-generation mobile communication system. The method of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving, from a user equipment (UE), a UE capability message including information indicating whether quality of experience (QoE) measurement associated with multi-modal traffic is supported; receiving, from an operations administration and maintenance (OAM), a message including quality of experience (QoE) measurement configuration information associated with multi-modal traffic; transmitting a first radio resource control (RRC) message including the QoE measurement configuration information to the UE; receiving, from the UE, a QoE measurement report including a QoE measurement result obtained on the basis of the QoE measurement configuration information; and transmitting the QoE measurement report to a server.
