Abstract:
A method for quickly calculating a three-dimensional polarization dimension, comprising: determining that an incident light field is a coherency matrix of a partially coherent schell-model beam, and decomposing the coherency matrix into a form of multiplying an incident electric field by an incident light field coherent structure matrix (S1); according to a vector diffraction principle, obtaining an electric field near a focal field after the incident electric field passes through a tight focusing system, and by using the coherency matrix, describing a second-order correlation characteristic of a partially coherent vector beam near a tight focusing focal field (S2); obtaining a tight focusing polarization matrix on the basis of a tight focusing coherency matrix (S3); and rotating the tight focusing polarization matrix to an intrinsic surface thereof, and calculating a three-dimensional polarization dimension of the partially coherent schell-model beam in the tight focusing focal field (S4). The method can quickly calculate a three-dimensional polarization dimension of a partially coherent schell-model beam in a tight focusing focal field.
