Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and a device for reinforcing a web of fibrous or non-woven textile material by means of needling in a plurality of directly succeeding steps in which the web of material is alternately needled from both sides at a high needle density while being conveyed exclusively by a movement of the needles when the needles are inserted into the web of material, said movement extending in the longitudinal direction of the web of material. The invention makes it possible to produce very thin fleeces without risking damage to said fleeces during processing thereof.
