Abstract:
A method and device for seamless transition, the method implemented on a user equipment side comprising: a UE receives configuration information transmitted by an RNC and the configuration information includes an indication of transferring to an URA_PCH state, a temporary identification, an H-RNTI and information of an E-AGCH; the UE transfers to the URA_PCH state according to the indication of transferring to the URA_PCH state; when the UE has a data packet on radio bear 1 or a radio bearer above the radio bearer 1 to be transmitted, the UE adds the temporary identification and indication information of the URA_PCH in a packet header of the data packet before a completion of a conflict detection; the data packet is transmitted to a base station by means of a common Enhanced Dedicated Channel (E-DCH) resource of a cell in which the UE resides; the UE receives, in the E-AGCH, indication information that the base station grants the UE to use the common E-DCH resource; and, the UE uses the H-RNTI to receive downlink data packets. In a transition process, extra signaling is not required to be consumed, and transmission resources can be saved and time delay of data packet transmission is reduced.
