Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and device for synthesizing a methane gas using carbon dioxide and hydrogen at room temperature and at atmospheric pressure and, more specifically, to a method for synthesizing methane (CH4), which is a synthetic natural gas, only by means of carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen (H2) by using a catalyst-dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma at room temperature and at atmospheric pressure. The method and device for synthesizing a methane gas according to the present invention have effects capable of synthesizing a methane gas (CH4), which is a synthetic natural gas, only by means of carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen (H2) by using a catalyst-dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma at room temperature and at atmospheric pressure. Moreover, the synthesizing method and device for a methane gas according to the present invention has the advantages of not only low production costs due to not using separate heating equipment and pressurizing equipment for performing a methane gas synthesizing process, but also high added value due to not involving danger when performing a process.
