Abstract:
A method for executing a stored procedure, relating to the technical field of databases, in particular to a technique for processing a stored procedure (SP) in a database. The method for executing comprises: receiving an execution request used for requesting execution of a task comprising at least two stored procedures; applying for at least two threads, and assigning each stored procedure in the task to one of the at least two threads for execution; receiving structured query language (SQL) statements sent by the at least two threads when executing the stored procedures comprised in the task, and grouping and caching the received SQL statements according to the same access characteristics; and calling an SQL statement execution engine to execute an SQL statement in an SQL statement cache group that meets a preset triggering condition. Applying the described solution to the execution of a plurality stored procedures may improve the efficiency in executing the plurality of stored procedures.
