Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for merging IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates than 4G systems, and a system therefor. The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, health care, digital education, retail businesses, and security and safety-related services) on the basis of 5G communication technologies and IoT-related technologies. A method performed by a reception device of a communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: obtaining a first sequence on the basis of a received signal; comparing the length of the first sequence with an operation unit; when the length of the first sequence is smaller than the operation unit, generating a second sequence on the basis of the first sequence; and performing decoding on the basis of the second sequence, wherein the length of the second sequence is greater than or equal to the operation unit.
