Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and device for unpacking a condom. According to the method of the invention, one part of the device is held in hand while the other part is displaced with respect to the first part within the plane defined by the condom until at least a part of the condom is released. The displacement is performed by means of a digit of the hand holding the holdable part of the device. The device for unpacking a condom comprises a base (3) adapted for holding it with a hand, a condom holder (7) with a condom held therein and a skin (2) connected with the base and enclosing the condom holder with the condom held therein. The condom holder is adapted for sliding guided displacement with respect to the base. The device according to the invention is provided with a key (11) connected to the condom holder and adapted for sliding guided displacement with respect to the base by a digit of the keyhand holding the base. The method and the device of theinvention allow the user unpack the condom in a quick and comfortable way, only slightly distracting him from sexual intercourse.

Claims:

CLAIMS

1. A method for unpacking a condom held by a holder, flatly arranged and received in an unpacking device, the method including the following steps:

holding one part of the unpacking device in the user's hand; and

- displacing another part of the unpacking device with respect to said holdable part until at least part of the condom is released;

characterized in that said displacement is performed using a digit of the hand holding said holdable part; wherein this digit and the displaceable part of the device are brought into mechanical engagement by pressing this digit to the device transversally to the direction of displacement.

2. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that said digit and said displaceable part of the device are brought into mechanical engagement by pressing this digit to the displaceable part of the device.

3. Method according to claim 1 , characterized in that the displacement is lineary.

4. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that during the step of displacing said another part of the unpacking device the displaceable part travels inside the device.

5. Method according to claim 1 , characterized in that during the step of displacing said another part of the unpacking device the displaceable part travels outside the device.

6. Method according to claim 1 , characterized in that during the step of displacing said another part of the unpacking device the displaceable part is displaced with the thumb of said hand, while the holdable part of the device is held with its fingers.

7. Method according to claim 6, characterized in that during the step of displacing said another part of the unpacking device the holdable part is pressed by the fingers to the palm, while the thumb moves the displaceable part away from the palm.

8. Method according to any of claims 1-7, characterized in that the step of holding said one part of the unpacking device includes holding a device's base adapted for holding it with a hand, and the step of displacing said another part of the unpacking device includes displacing with respect to the base, a holder with a condom held therein, said displacement being effected by acting upon a key connected with the holder.

9. Method according to claim 8, characterized in that, while displacing a holder with a condom held therein the skin in which the holder is at least partially enclosed is torn, the skin being attached to the base.

Method according to any of claims 1-7, characterized in that the step of holding said one part of the unpacking device includes holding its base adapted for holding it with a hand, and the step of displacing said another part of the unpacking device includes displacing its part covering the holder with a condom held therein.

11. Method according to claim 10, characterized in that by moving said part covering the holder with a condom held therein the skin is torn, which skin is connected with this part and in which skin the holder with a condom held therein is at least partially enclosed.

12. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that said displacement is performed by pressing through a layer of a flexible material.

13. Method according to claim 1 or 12, characterized in that the mechanical engagement between said digit and the displaceable part of the device is induced by pressing the digit to an area of the holdable part of the device, which

area adjoins upon the displaceable part from the side opposite to the direction of its displacement.

14. Method according to claim 8, characterized in that during said displacement the force vector of said digit acting upon the key remains within a plane transverse to the plane defined by the condom.

15. Method according to claim 8, characterized in that during said displacement the force vector of said digit acting upon the key remains within a plane defined by the condom.

16. A device for unpacking a condom, the device comprising a base adapted for holding it with a hand, a condom holder with a condom held therein, and a skin connected with the base or at least partially constituted by the base, wherein the condom is flatly arranged, thus defining a plane, the condom holder is adapted for sliding guided displacement with respect to the base within the plane defined by the condom, and the skin at least partially encloses the condom holder with the condom held therein, characterized in that the device is provided with a key engageable with the condom holder and adapted to be acted upon by a digit of the hand holding the base in such a manner that the displacement of the holder with respect to base is performed by this digit acting upon the key.

17. Method according to claim 16, characterized in that the base comprises a box provided with a slot used as guideway, the skin is received in and attached to, the box, and the holder is engaged with the key by means of a piece displaceably received in the slot, the key being located outside the box.

18. Device according to claim 17, characterized in that the box has an open end.

19. Device according to claim 17, characterized in that one end of the box is provided with flaps.

20. Device according to claim 17, characterized in that the box consists of two pieces connected to each other like pieces of a soapbox.

21. Device according to claim 17, characterized in that the box consists of two pieces with said slot formed therebetween.

22. Device according to claim 17, characterized in that the base is made as lattice framework with the skin connected thereto.

23. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base includes either U- shaped or O-shaped framework located at edge of the skin.

24. Device according to claim 23, characterized in that said framework is attached to the skin and is positioned in parallel with the plane defined by the condom.

25. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base includes a U- shaped member extending along the edge of the skin, wherein the inner part of the U-shaped member is facing the holder.

26. Device according to claim 25, characterized in that the U-shaped member is attached to the skin edge, the key is positioned on the side of the skin opposite to the U-shaped member, and the holder rests against the inner part of the U- shaped member, the holder being adapted to slide in the direction allowed by the

U-shaped member.

27. Device according to claim 25, characterized in that the base includes an L- shaped frame, wherein the U-shaped member constitutes one yoke of the L- shaped frame, and the skin is attached to another yoke of the L-shaped frame.

28. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base includes two plates on both side of the plane defined by the condom, and the skin is placed between these plates.

29. Device according to claim 28, characterized in that said plates are attached to the skin, and the key is positioned therebetween.

30. Device according to claim 28, characterized in that said U-shaped member connects said plates along their edge.

31. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base comprises a plate.

32. Device according to claim 31 , characterized in that the plate is arranged in parallel to the plane defined by the condom, the skin is attached to this plate, and the key is positioned on the opposite, with respect to the plate, side of device.

33. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base includes a rectangular sheet having its ends flanged in such a way that a duct is formed, the duct having a slot positioned on one of the faces of the device, and the skin with the enclosed holder and condom held therein is received within the duct.

34. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the skin is a package at least made of one sheet.

35. Device according to claim 34, characterized in that the skin is a package made of two sheets connected to each other at their edges.

36. Device according to claim 34, characterized in that the skin is a package made of a folded sheet with connected edges.

37. Device according to claim 31 , characterized in that a sheet of film is attached to the edges of said plate, and the holder with the condom held therein is placed between the plate and the sheet.

38. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base includes two plates positioned on both sides of the plane defined by the condom and connected by a connecting part, a gap between the plates is covered by a sheet of flexible material, and the holder with the condom held therein is received between the plates.

39. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base is shaped as a tray having a plate-like bottom defined on its three sides with a flange, wherein a sheet of film is attached along the edge of the tray, and the holder with the condom held therein is received in the tray under the sheet.

40. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the key is at least partially placed outside the space defined by the skin and connected with the holder by a part passed through the skin.

41. Device according to claim 40, characterized in that the part connecting the key with the holder extends between two layers of the sheet material.

42. Device according to claim 41 , characterized in that, at the outlet from the skin, said part connecting the key and holder has a cross-section with two acute angles opposing each other.

43. Device according to claim 40, characterized in that the part connecting the key and holder is passed through an opening in the sheet of the skin, wherein the area of the sheet in vicinity of this opening is clamped between the key and the holder.

44. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the key is located within the space defined by the skin.

45. Device according to claim 40, characterized in that the skin is provided with weakened lines.

46. Device according to any of claims 41-43, 45, characterized in that the skin is made of sheet material including at least two layers, one of these layers being thin, solid, and impenetrable, and the other one is more strong, and provided with weakened lines.

47. Device according to any of claims 41-43, 45, characterized in that the weakened lines extend along the pathway being made by the key and holder when displaced.

48. Device according to any of claims 41-43, 45, characterized in that the weakened lines are located at the skin end where the holder goes out of the skin when unpacking.

49. Device according to claim 45, characterized in that the key is at least partially located outside the space defined by the skin, wherein the area of the skin in vicinity of the part connecting the key and the holder is attached to this part and separated by weakened lines from the skin area connected to the base.

50. Device according to claims 44, characterized in that the skin is provided with weakened lines located at the skin end where the holder goes out of the skin when unpacking.

51. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the connection between the holder and key connection is rigid.

52. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the skin is sealed.

53. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that said displacement results in that the surfaces of the condom are sufficiently exposed to put the condom on.

54. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that said displacement results in that at least the lower surface of the condom is sufficiently exposed to put the condom on.

55. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that it comprises a mechanism preventing or hampering accidental displacement of the holder.

56. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the base includes a plate with a slot used as a guideway for the holder, and the holder comprises a limb displaceably received in this slot and provided with a boss on the opposite, with respect to the holder, side of the plate for preventing the limb from leaving the slot.

57. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that at least one side of the device is in parallel or inclined by angle within -45° to + 45° with respect to the plane defined by the condom.

58. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the at least one side of the device is perpendicular or inclined from 135° to + 45° with respect to the plane defined by the condom.

59. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the holder comprises an open hollow ring provided with a shaped slot extending along its inner circumference, wherein the condom is received in the slot.

60. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the holder includes an open ring which has a circumferential part with a U-shaped cross- section.

61. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that it is received in a case.

62. Device according to claims 16, characterized in that the key is shifted with respect to the holder in the plane defined by the condom.

63. Device according to claim 16 characterized in that the device includes a mechanism providing that the holder travels to a longer distance than the key.

64. Device according to claim 63, characterized in that the holder and base are connected with a cable passed over a crossbar engaged with the key.

65. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the key is installed on a seat rested against the base.

66. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the base is received in the skin.

67. Device according to claim 66, characterized in that the skin is constituted by a package, and the base is constituted by a plate received in the package in parallel to the plane defined by the condom.

68. Device according to any of claims 16-39, characterized in that the holder is provided with a lid at least partially covering the outer side of the condom held by the holder, the lid being used as the key.

69. Device according to claim 68, characterized in that the lid is connected with the skin or constitutes a part of this skin.

70. Device according to claim 68, characterized in that the id is pivotally mounted on the holder.

71. Method according to claim 1 , characterized in that the key is separated from the holder, provided with a pushing part, and mounted in such a way that the pushing part and the holder can be brought into engagement.

72. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the key is separated from the holder and provided with a pushing part adapted for engagement with the holder.

73. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base includes a box with a slot used as a guideway, the skin is received in and attached to this box, the key is displaceably received in said slot, at least part of the key is outside the box and the width of said slot is no less the width of the key.

74. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base comprises a box with the holder and a guideway received therein; said guideway includes a slot in

one box wall and two grooves facing each other and continuosly passing on both sides of the slot along this wall, as well as along two other walls of the box; wherein the holder is connected with the key by means of a flexible strip having its edges received in the grooves in a manner allowing the strip to be displaced along the grooves; the key being located on the external side of the box and connected to the strip by a part displaceably received in the slot.

75. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base includes a plate with two slots formed therein, the slots acting as guideways; and the holder is expandable and includes pins displaceably received in said slots.

76. Device according to claim 75, characterized in that the holder is provided with flexible crosspieces.

77. Device according to claim 76, characterized in that the holder expandability is provided by forming the holder as an open ring, with the slots converging towards each other at one side.

78. Device according to claim 76, characterized in that the base includes a box in which a slot is formed and said plate is received; the slot formed in the box being longer than the slots formed in the plate.

79. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the base comprises a tray having a bottom formed as a plate with a central slot defined on its three sides by a flange and acting as guideway; wherein the holder is formed by an expandable open ring received in said slot and connected to two opposite sides of the flange by a cable.

80. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the holder includes grips used for gripping the edge of a condom, and a connection between said grips; the connection at least partially being elastic, wherein the holder at least partially defines the space in which the condom can be placed, and is adapted to changing the shape of said connection between two configurations, where in the

first said configuration said space is reduced, and in the second said configurations said space is enlarged, and where in the first said configuration at least part of said connection is strained and tends to convert into the second configuration, and in the second configuration said strain is at least partially released.

81. Device according to claim 80, characterized in that it is provided with retaining means for retaining the holder in the first configuration.

82. Device according to claim 81 , characterized in that the retaining means for retaining the holder in the first configuration is a box having one open end, the holder being received in this box.

83. Device according to claim 82, characterized in that the box has a slot, the holder is provided with a key displaceably connected to the holder by a part received in said slot, the key being outside the box.

84. Device according to claim 80, characterized in that it is provided with retaining means for retaining the holder in the second configuration.

85. Device according to claim 80, characterized in that it is provided with means for retaining the holder in the first configuration and with means for retaining the holder in the second configuration.

86. Device according to claim 85, characterized in that retaining means for retaining the holder in the first configuration is a box with a slot, and the holder retaining means in the second configuration is a ring embracing the holder and displaceably connected to said box, the holder is provided with a key connected to the holder by a part displaceably received in the slot, the key being outside the box.

87. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the device is provided with two opposing elastic elements, one end of each elastic elements being connected to the holder and another its end being connected to the base.

88. Device according to claim 87, characterized in that the base includes a plate positioned in parallel to the plane defined by the condom, wherein the skin is attached to said plate and the key is on the opposite side of the device with respect to the plate.

89. Device according to claim 87, characterized in that the base includes a box with a slot used as guideway, the skin is received in and attached to said box, the holder is connected to the key by a part displaceably received in the slot; and the key is outside the box.

90. Device according to claim 16, characterized in that the device is provided with a tray in which the condom holder with condom held therein is placed, the tray being adapted for sliding guided displacement with respect to the base within the plane defined by the condom, wherein the device is also provided with a key connected with the condom holder and adapted to be acted upon by a digit of the hand holding the base in such a manner that the displacement of the tray with respect to base is performed by this digit acting upon the key.

91. Device according to claim 90, characterized in that the base comprises a box with one open end, provided with a slot used as guideway, with the tray received in the box.

92. Device according to claim 91 , characterized in that the tray is connected to the key by a part displaceably receved in said slot; the key being outside the box.

93. Device according to claim 91 , characterized in that the holder is connected to the key by a part displaceably received in said slot; the key being outside the box.

94. Device according to claim 91 , characterized in that said slot is covered by a sheet of flexible material.

95. Device according to claim 90, characterized in that the tray has a plate-like bottom defined on its three sides with a flange.

96. Device according to claim 90, characterized in that the tray has a plate-like bottom defined on all four sides with a flange.

97. Device according to any one of claims 95, 96, characterized in that a sheet of film is attached to the edge of said tray, and the holder with condom held therein is placed in the tray under said sheet.

106. Device according to claim 90, characterized in that the holder comprises an open hollow ring provided with a shaped slot extending along its inner circumference, wherein the condom is received in the slot.

107. Device according to claim 90, characterized in that the holder is a flat open ring provided with inwards-facing grippers for holding the condom.

108. Device according to claim 107, characterized in that the holder is made in such a way that the ring is expandable.

109. Device according to claim 108, characterized in that said ring is formed by a rod and C-shaped frameworks connected to the ends of said rod; the holder is provided with levers, the larger arms of which are formed by said frameworks, the pivots are disposed on the ends of said rod, and said expansion is performed by displacing said levers.

110. Device according to claim 90, characterized in that the holder is U-shaped, with its inner part facing and embracing the condom held within.

111. Device according to claim 110, characterized in that the holder includes at least two ribbons each having one its end attached to the holder, and the other end extending along the outer surface of the condom and rolled together with the condom.

112. Device according to any one of claims 90-111 , characterized in that the holder includes a part passing through the skin.

113. A device for unpacking a condom held by a holder, the device comprisig a base, a holder with a condom flatly arranged and held therein , and a skin connected to the base and at least partially enclosing the holder and condom held therein, wherein the holder is displaceably mounted for guided displacement with respect to the base in the plane defined by the condom, characterized in that the device is further provided with at least one lever having a pivot located at the base; the lever being connected to the holder in such a way that the lever can be acted

upon with at least one digit of a hand, so that said displacement of the holder with respect to the base is performed by acting upon the lever with said digit.

114. Device according to claim 113, characterized in that the base comprises a box with at least one opening through which the lever can be acted upon with a digit, a plate fixed in the box and provided with a slot used as a guideway for the holder; and a lug for mounting the lever, wherein the skin is placed in the box and attached to the plate and the holder includes a pin extending beyond the skin, displaceably received in the slot and provided with an expanded part on the opposite, from the holder, side of the plate for preventing the pin from leaving the slot.

115. Device according to claim 114, characterized in that a flexible crosspiece passes between the opposite edges of the opening, and the box includes a notch disposed at the opening.

116. Device according to claim 115, characterized in that said crosspiece includes a ribbed support area designed for acting upon with digit of a hand.

117. Device according to claim 114, characterized in that the box has one open end.

118. Device according to claim 113, characterized in that the connection between the lever and the holder is flexible.

119. Device according to claim 113, characterized in that the lever is at least partially flexible.

120. Device according to claim 113, characterized in that the skin is formed as a package made at least of one sheet.

121. Device according to claim 120, characterized in that the skin is provided with weakened lines.

122. Device according to claim 121, characterized in that the skin is made of a sheet material which includes at least two layers; one said layer being thin, solid, and impenetrable, and the other one ismore strong and provided with weakened lines.

123. Device according to any one of claims 113-122, characterized in that the device is provided with one more lever.

124. A device for unpacking a condom held by a holder, the device comprising a holder with a condom flatly arranged and held therein and a skin enclosing the holder with condom held therein; characterized in that at least a part of the outer periphery of the holder is defined by tapering surfaces adapted to sliding with respect to the skin when they are pressed through the skin by digits of a hand.

125. Device according to claim 124, characterized in that said surfaces are formed by a frame at least partially embracing the holder along its perimeter and received in the skin.

126. Device according to claim 124, characterized in that the device includes wedge- like rests connected to the skin or partially forming the skin, the keys being adapted for displacement with respect to said surfaces by pressing said keys through the skin.

127. Device according to claim 126, characterized in that the device includes a V- shaped bracket received in the skin; said bracket having a U-shaped cross- section, the bracket embracing the holder from the outside.

128. A Method for unpacking a condom held by a holder, flatly arranged and received in an unpacking device; the method including the following steps:

- holding the device in the user's hand, and

- displacing a part of the device with respect to the remaining part of the device until at least part of the condom is released,

characterized in that said displacement is performed using a digit of the hand holding the device; wherein a mechanical interaction between said digit and the displaceable part of the device is created by pressing said digit to the device in the direction perpendicular to the direction of said displacement of the displaceable part.

129. Method according to claim 128 characterized in that the step of holding the device in the user's hand includes holding with the user's digits the base and a lever of the device, and the step of said displacement includes acting upon the lever with the digit holding the lever; the pivot of the lever being disposed on the base.

130. Method according to claim 128, characterized in that the step of holding the device in the user's hand includes holding with the user's digits levers pivotally connected to the base and adapted to ; be held with digits of a hand and to act upon the holder while pivoted and the step of said displacement includes acting upon said levers with the same digits by bringing them together; wherein the turning axes of the lever are disposed on the base.

131. Method according to claim 128, characterized in that the step of holding the device in the user's hand includes holding the skin adapted to be held with the digits of a hand; and the step of said displacement includes pressing the holder with condom held therein out of the skin by bringing said digits together.

Description:

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR UNPACKING A CONDOM

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to barrier contraceptives, in particular to a method for unpacking a condom retained by a holder and to a device for using this method.

BACKGROUND ART

A condom is a skin made of natural latex or another material, covering the penis entirely or partially. Condoms are used to protect from sexually transmitted diseases and/or undesirable pregnancy. Both the traditional condom, shown in the Fig.1 , and so-called micro-condom covering only the balanus are considered as condoms. Traditional condom is usually a cylindrical skin covering the whole length of the penis and having one open end and one closed end. To make it compact and easy to use, condom is usually rolled into a ring.

Actually, it can also be rolled in an opposite direction to that traditionally used for rolling a condom. A condom can also be bellowed or otherwise folded. When stored, a condom is usually sealingly packed into a skin generally formed as a package of a flexible sheet material which is usually strong enough to provide tightness and protect the condom during storage and transportation (see Fig.2). A package is usually provided with means facilitating its unpacking, e.g. a notch or reduced-strength area at its side, or a sealed ribbon with one its end extending outside the package. While unpacked, the condom is applied to erected penis and then rolled down to the penis root.

It may be unnecessary to unroll down a micro-condom because it covers only the balanus. Therefore, a micro-condom only requires a minimal degree of unrolling, if any.

The main disadvantage of traditional condoms is that it takes a long time and much effort to unpack and put on a condom. As a result, the user's attention is distracted away from sexual intercourse.

It is necessary to tear the package to unpack a traditional condom. To do this, the user should examine the package to find means designed to facilitate unpacking, e.g. a notch, and then use both hands to grip the package both sides of the notch and pull them to different directions. It is not possible to open the package without looking at it. It is necessary to concentrate on the opening procedure and therefore digress from sexual intercourse. It is also necessary to use both hands. One should be concentrated on putting on the condom and use both hands to put it on.

However, typically, the user has only one free hand, and uses the other one to support himself or has it under woman's head (see Fig. 3). Generally, the user cannot release his second hand without changing his position. It usually means that the user should lie on his back. Such change of position and necessity to release the other hand is the main reason of distraction of the user's mind from sexual intercourse and large amount of time spent to put on the condom. When putting on the condom, every moment spent can be critical for user. Requirements for swiftness, convenience and easiness of condom package use are much higher than for any other packed product used in private life.

Some people do not use condoms even when necessary, and the main reason for this is that they have to spend a long time and much effort to put a condom on, and also change position, resulting in distraction of their minds from the sexual intercourse.

If this problem is solved, a) the overall condom usage will increase; whereas b) the number of people who either do not use condoms at all, or use them rarely while having high-risk sexual intercourses, will decrease.

This could help to solve the spreading HIV problem as well as decrease the uncontrolled birth rate growth (especially in overpopulated developing countries).

Devices known as condom holders hold a condom, in most cases the edge of a rolled condom, and therefore allow the user grasp a condom holder and put the condom on by applying the condom on top of and down the penis (see e.g. Fig.4). In this process, the condom is unrolled along the penis shaft (where a pre-rolled condom is used).

A condom holder can be a hollow ring with a groove extending along its circumference and defining a channel for receiveing a condom. The shape and location of the groove can vary (e.g., see US4738357, Martin et al, 1988).

When the inner diameter of the holder is greater than or equal to the inner diameter of the condom ring, the channel can open to the outside. In this case, forces arise directed to the center of the condom ring, which forces do not let this ring pop out of the groove. This kind of holder is disclosed in the following patents: JP6154260 (Toshihiro,

1994), JP7308336, Tadashi, 1995), US5579784 (Harari, 1996), DE19641107 (Raabe, 1998), US5437286 (Stratton, 1995), FR2751869 (Loyer, 1998).

Also known are condom holders either embracing the whole condom ring (e.g. see US5163449, van der VaIk 1992) or having one discontinuity, that ishaving either C-shape or U-shape (e.g. see US4875491, Parrone, 1989). Holders can either hold the condom ring with spaced grips (e.g. see FR2727858, Vegega, 1996) or continuously along the whole circumference of the ring.

Other means of holding the edge of a rolled condom can be used, e.g. the condom ring can be held by a pair of rollers (e.g. see WO9801095, Liehs, 1999). Figure 5 shows the holder consisting of two parts which are to be held with both hands (e.g. see /069861 , Van Rensburg, 2002).

A condom held with a holder can be rolled up both in the direction traditionally used for rolling condoms and in opposite direction (e.g. see US5549120, Persson et al., 1996). On its circumference, a condom can also be folded as a bellows or in any other manner (e.g. see WO9319704, Wheeler, 1993).

Further, ribbons (see Fig. 6) can be used to simplify the process of putting on a condom (e.g. see US4934382, Barone, Jr., 1990). Two or rarely more than two ribbons are rolled into the condom. These means can be referred to as "ribbon holders" because these are designed to help holding the condom and putting it on. If condom is provided with two ribbons, it means that the user should apply condom to the penis, hold ribbons with both hands and pull the condom, unrolling it along the penis. Figure 7 represents the ribbon holder with ribbons connected to each other (see JP58183161 , Koike, 1983).

However, it is not easy to hold the condom with one hand using these ribbons, excluding the case when the ribbons are connected to a rigid base actually forming a holder. For example, WO9407444 (Van Kempen et al., 1994) comprises two ribbons connected to a U-shaped base (see Fig. 8 and 9).

Holders help to put on a condom with comfort. Actually, some condom holders such as "rigid" holders consisting of a single piece and holders with ribbons connected to a rigid base allow the user put a condom on using one hand, and therefore, not change his position.

However, the problems related to unpacking process remain unsolved even with these holders. Whether a condom held by a holder is packed in a traditional way, i.e. in soft plastic package as shown in Fig. 2 the user should use both hands, to open this package, and therefore, release the other hand and change his position. This inconvenience nullifies the potential advantages of holders.

WO9629262 (Kursner, 1996), WO9220595 (Forster et al., 1992), and WO9502379 (Andrews, 1995) disclose opening a package by pressing it, whereas the package breaks due to notches therein. Apparently, after opening the package the condom should be taken out of it.

JP6179476 (Masamitsu, 1994), US6076661 (Abadi, 2000) comprise the package with one side covered by a light removable lid. This lid is removable to get access to the condom.

US6227358 (Lin, 2001), FR2706429 (Lajaz, 1994) describe a condom package openable in the same manner as a can of beer, using a metal pull-tab.

WO9608220 (Vilmorin, 1996), US5862908 (Arbin, 1999) disclose a boxed condom, where the box consists of two pieces connected by a hinge like a powder box. After opening the package, the condom should be taken out of it.

US5238103 (Swisher, 1993) discloses a foiled condom received in a device having hinged lower and upper halves. Blades arranged inside the device cut the foil of condom when it is inserted into the device. Then, foil pieces covering the condom on top and bottom can either be pulled out by the user or fall out while opening the halves. Precise manipulations of both hands are necessary for unpacking the condom using this device , and furthermore, the condom may be damaged by the blades. Several additional outer packages, openable in different ways, are also known, e.g. see CA2130536 (McVicar et al., 1996) and US5117841 (McBeth, 1992). The inner package remains sealed when the outer package is open.

It should be noted that none of the prior art disclose a device usable with packed condoms held by a holder, that is durable, compact and conveniently openable. GB2253352 (Jones, 1992), US5316019 (Jones, 1994) M US5638949 (Jones,

1997) describe a condom packed, together with a holder in a package and received in a box, the box being provided with a hinged lid. Opening the box leads to unsealing the package. The unsealed package is then unfolded, and the condom with its holder is taken out. These actions require concentration and using both hands. US4875491 (Parrone, 1989), FR2751869 (Loyer, 1998), JP11004844 (Katayama,

1999), JP11019110 (Mitsuoka et al., 1999) describe a holder covered on its top and bottom by light lids provided with pull-tabs. A condom packed in this manner can be unpacked by removing the lids, pulling the pull-tabs. In this case it is necessary to find a pull-tab and pull it with one hand while holding the package with the other hand. Thus, again, both hands are used.

WO9008522 (Backman, 1990), GB2225721 (Powell, 1990), EP1236452 (Suzuki, 2001) describe a method for opening unpacking a condom with a holder by stretching and, thus, tearing the package. WO02069861 (Van Rensburg W. 2002) discloses a method for unpacking a condom by breaking the package along the weakened lines, whereupon the halves of the holder remain in the user's hands with the condom therebetween, ready for putting on.

US4738357 (Martin et al., 1988), US6089231 (Thompson, 2000) describe a device requiring the removal of a protective disc covering the condom held by a holder from one side. Another protective disc on the other side is removed by penis while putting the condom on. US5651374 (Wester, 1997) discloses a device where a condom held by a holder is exposed by turning up two protective sheets covering the condom on both sides.

All methods described above also distract the user, as well as require his concentration and both his hands.

There are also known devices of cylindrical shape for putting on condoms. A condom is placed inside the cylinder, drawn to its walls by vacuum, and then put on the penis. Finally, the pressure in the cylinder is released and the cylinder can be removed. Devices of this type are unpractical due to their large size and complex structure.

US5437286 (Stratton, 1995) describes the invention where both protective sheets (made of a thin film) are broken by the penis while putting the condom on. The user can unpack and put this condom on using only one hand, therefore the device disclosed in US5437286 is referred to as "ready-to-use" type.

However, this process of breaking protective sheets by penis is uncomfortable for the user. Further, if the film is so thin that it can be pierced by penis, it means that the condom cannot be stored in real-life conditions, and can be easily damaged.

Therefore, the condom is to be stored in some other package e.g. a paper envelope, thus, package problem still remains. Furthermore, the film should be lubricated from the bottom to make the user feel comfortable. Hence, the condom is to be kept in another package to protect the lubricant. At last, a film designed to be broken by penis should be covered in order to protect it from contamination.

In JP2000232988 (Tanabe et al., 2000) films covering a condom held by a holder also break under pressure exerted by penis. The package shall first be stretched by the fingers inserted into special means in the package.

A method for unpacking a condom, believed to be most close to one method claimed herein, is described in WO9846495 (Flock, 1998). More specifically, Flock describes a method for unpacking a package containing a traditionally used condom.

The package has a central weakened line terminating with notches on the edges of the package. Pouches are provided at the package sides parallel to the weakened line. To open this package the user should hold the package in one hand and insert his bended thumb into one of the pouches. Then the user moves his thumb to straighten it. As a result, the package is stretched and torn along the weakened line. The upper part of the torn pack probably remains on user's thumb and can be flung off then, while its lower part with the condom remains in the user's hand. Thus, after the package is torn, the condom should be released from the lower part of the package and then held in a proper manner. The aforementioned procedure is not convenient for the user and requires some skill to perform it using one hand. Holding a soft package pressing it to the palm with the fingers while tearing the package by the thumb placed in the pouch seems to be uncomfortable. It is necessary to hold the package tightly, otherwise it can slip out and remain unrent.

Incorporation of a weakened line into a condom package does not contribute to safety: the package could be torn while stored in the pocket. Thus, such kind of package is generally stored in an additional rigid package, e.g. cardboard or plastic box. Extracting the package from the box makes the procedure of putting on the condom more complicated and actually requires using the second hand.

It shall also be noted that a condom described in WO9846495 (Flock, 1998) is not provided with a holder that would allow the user to put the condom on using one hand, therefore Flock does not solve the problem of conveniently putting on a condom.

A device that seems to be the closest to those claimed herein is described in US 6,425,397 dated 30.07.2002 describing a device for unpacking a condom held by a holder.

The device described in US 6,425,397 with reference to Figs. 6 and 7 comprises a base in the form of a box, a condom holder with a condom held therein, and a skin in the form of a package connected with the base, the skin enclosing the holder and condom, wherein the holder is adapted for sliding guided displacement with respect to the base. The holder is spring-based and locked by a pull-out pin. When the pin is removed, the spring pushes the holder outside the box, and this leads to tearing the

package remaining in a fixed position being attached to the box. When the holder and condom is unpacked and pushed out from the box, the user can grip the holder, and put the condom on.

The user holds the box with one hand, while removing the pin with the other hand, causing the spring to push the holder and condom out of the package. Then the user grips the holder with his hand and puts the condom on.

Due to the holder used in this device, the condom can conveniently be put on. However, the unpacking procedure still needs concentration because the user has to hold the box with one hand, remove the pin with the other hand and then grip with his hand the unpacked holder. Further, the device has other disadvantages. Package durability may vary for different packages. Spring force is also not constant and weakens with time. In case of a weaker package and stronger spring, the spring can not just push the holder out of the package, but "shoot" it out rapidly. This can lead to undesirable results. On the other hand, a stronger package can remain unrent by a weaker spring, and the user would have to manually extract the holder and condom.

A method that seems to be the closest to another method claimed herein seems to be a method for unpacking a condom, i.e. for unpacking a package containing a condom held by a holder, disclosed in WO 9801095, (Liehs, 1999). The unpacking device is a "gun" having a barrel in which a package enclosing the holder with a condom held therein is placed. In order to unpack the condom and put it on, the user takes the "gun" in his hand and puts his penis inside the barrel. The "gun" is held in hand, while the part of the device including the holder with condom held therein is displaced in the barrel until the the holder is out of the package. To displace the holder, the user puts the digit of his hand holding the device against the device and pulls the trigger. Then the holder is shifted forward by a telescopic appliance driven by a pressurized gas cylinder, the skin is cut by a cutting element and removed, and the condom is put on the penis. The holder is displaced transversely to the plane defined by condom, and the digit pulls the trigger in the direction that is parallel and reverse to the direction of the holder displacement. Thus, when using said device, the user has to turn his hand in order to aim on his body and pull the trigger in the opposite direction. Apparently, this action in this position is uncomfortable for the

user, and requires sufficient dexterity. Furthermore, such a "gun" is unpractical because it is far bigger than pocket size.

The purpose of this invention is to provide a method for unpacking a condom as well as a compact and durable device implementing this method to provide a convenient, fast and reliable unpacking with one hand while only slightly distracting the user from sexual intercourse.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

This problem is solved by providing a method for unpacking a condom held by a holder. The method is usable for a condom flatly arranged and received in an unpacking device. The method includes the following steps:

- holding one part of the unpacking device in the user's hand; and

- displacing another part of the unpacking device with respect to said holdable part until at least part of the condom is released, wherein said displacement is performed using a digit of the hand holding said holdable part.

This digit and the displaceable part of the device are brought into mechanical engagement by pressing this digit to the device transversally to the direction of displacement.

Said digit and said displaceable part of the device are usually brought into mechanical engagement by pressing this digit to the displaceable part of the device. It is preferable that the displacement is lineary.

During the step of displacing said another part of the unpacking device the displaceable part travels either inside or outside the device.

The most convenient way is to displace said displaceable part with the thumb of said hand, while the holdable part of the device is held with its fingers.

The holdable part is generally pressed by the fingers to the palm, while the thumb moves the displaceable part away from the palm.

In some embodiments, the step of holding said one part of the unpacking device includes holding a device's base adapted for holding it with a hand, and the step of displacing said another part of the unpacking device includes displacing with respect to the base, a holder with a condom held therein, said displacement being effected by acting upon a key connected with the holder.

While displacing a holder with a condom held therein the skin in which the holder is at least partially enclosed is torn, the skin being attached to the base. In some other embodiments, the step of holding said one part of the unpacking device includes holding its base adapted for holding it with a hand, and the step of displacing said another part of the unpacking device includes displacing its part covering the holder with a condom held therein.

By moving said part covering the holder with a condom held therein, the skin is usually torn, which skin is connected with this part and in which skin the holder with a condom held therein is at least partially enclosed.

Said displacement can be performed by pressing through a layer of a flexible material.

In this embodiment, the mechanical engagement between said digit and the displaceable part of the device is induced by pressing the digit to an area of the holdable part of the device, which area adjoins upon the displaceable part from the side opposite to the direction of its displacement.

During said displacement the force vector of said digit acting upon the key may remain either within a plane transverse to the plane defined by the condom, or within a plane defined by the condom.

The problem is also solved by providing a device for unpacking a condom, the device comprising a base adapted for holding it with a hand, a condom holder with a condom held therein, and a skin connected with the base or at least partially constituted by the base, wherein the condom is flatly arranged, the condom holder is adapted for sliding guided displacement with respect to the base within the plane defined by the condom, and the skin at least partially encloses the condom holder

with the condom held therein; the device is provided with a key engageable with the condom holder and adapted to be acted upon by a digit of the hand holding the base in such a manner that the displacement of the holder with respect to base is performed by this digit acting upon the key. Thus, only one hand is required to unpack the condom by just one simple motion of the thumb. This results in easy and quick unpacking. Due to displacing the holder by a digit, the force required to open the skin can be adjusted depending on skin tightness. This results in reliable unpacking. Hence, the user is only slightly distracted from sexual intercourse while unpacking the condom. Due to the displacement of the key within the plane defined by the condom the package is quite compact and can be kept in pocket.

The base can comprise a box provided with a slot used as guideway. In this embodiment, the skin is received in and attached to, the box, and the holder is engaged with the key by means of a piece displaceably received in the slot, the key being located outside the box. The advantage of using the box as a base is that the box is also used as a container protecting the packed condom from the environment and preventing the accidental corruption of the package.

The box can have an open end with the holder coming out therethrough.

The box can also be provided with flaps on one its end. To provide easy assemblage, the box may consist of two pieces connected to each other like pieces of a soapbox.

The box can consist of two pieces with said slot formed therebetween.

The base can be made as lattice framework with the skin connected thereto.

The base can include either U-shaped or O-shaped framework located at edge of the skin. Such framework is usually attached to the skin and is positioned in parallel with the plane defined by the condom.

In some embodiments, the base includes a U-shaped member extending along the edge of the skin, wherein the inner part of the U-shaped member is facing the holder. The U-shaped member is generally attached to the skin edge, the key is positioned on the side of the skin opposite to the U-shaped member, and the holder

keys against the inner part of the U-shaped member, the holder being adapted to slide in the direction allowed by the U-shaped member.

The base can include an L-shaped frame, wherein the U-shaped member constitutes one yoke of the L-shaped frame, and the skin can be attached to another yoke of the L-shaped frame.

The base can include two plates on both sides of the plane defined by the condom, and the skin can be placed between these plates.

In this embodiment, said plates can be attached to the skin, and the key can be positioned therebetween. Said U-shaped member can connect said plates along their edge.

The base can also comprise a plate. In this embodiment, the plate is usually arranged in parallel to the plane defined by the condom, the skin is attached to this plate, and the key is positioned on the opposite, with respect to the plate, side of device. The base can include a rectangular sheet having its ends flanged in such a way that a duct having a slot positioned on one of the faces of the device is formed; in this embodiment, the skin with the enclosed holder and condom held therein is received within the duct.

The skin can be a package made of at least one sheet. This package can also be made of two sheets connected to each other by their edges; it can also be made of a folded sheet with connected edges.

A sheet of film can be attached to the edges of said plate, the holder with the condom held therein can be placed between the plate and the sheet.

The base can comprise two plates positioned on both sides of the plane defined by the condom and connected by a connecting part. In this embodiment, a gap between the plates is usually covered by a sheet of flexible material, and the holder with the condom held therein is received between the plates.

The base can also be shaped as a tray having a plate-like bottom defined on its three sides with a flange. A sheet of film can be attached along the edge of the tray, and the holder with the condom held therein can be received in the tray under the sheet.

The key can be at least partially placed outside the space defined by the skin and connected with the holder by a part passed through the skin.

The part connecting the key with the holder can extend between two layers of the sheet material. In this embodiment, at the outlet from the skin, said part connecting the key and holder usually has a cross-section with two acute angles opposing each other.

The part connecting the key and holder can be passed through an opening in the sheet of the skin. The area of the sheet in vicinity of this opening is usually clamped between the key and the holder. The key can be located within the space defined by the skin.

The skin can be provided with weakened lines.

The skin can be made of sheet material including at least two layers, one of these layers being thin, solid, and impenetrable, and the other one more strong and provided with weakened lines. Weakened lines can extend along the pathway being made by the key and holder when displaced.

Weakened lines can be located at the skin end where the holder goes out of the skin when unpacking.

The key can at least partially be located outside the space defined by the skin, wherein the area of the skin in vicinity of the part connecting the key and the holder is attached to this part and separated by weakened lines from the skin area connected to the base.

The skin can be provided with weakened lines located at the skin end where the holder goes out of the skin when unpacking. The connection between the holder and key connection can be rigid.

This skin can be sealed.

Said displacement results in that the surfaces of the condom (at least the lower surface) are sufficiently exposed to put the condom on.

The device can comprise a mechanism preventing or hampering accidental displacement of the holder.

The base can include a plate with a slot used as a guideway for the holder. In this embodiment, the holder usually comprises a limb displaceable received in this slot and provided with a boss on the opposite, with respect to the holder, side of the plate for preventing the limb from leaving the slot. At least one side of the device can be in parallel or inclined by angle within -45° to + 45° with respect to the plane defined by the condom. In this embodiment, the key may be located at the said side of device.

At least one side of the device can be perpendicular or inclined from 135° to + 45° with respect to the plane defined by the condom. In this case, the key may be located at the said side of device.

The holder can comprise an open hollow ring provided with a shaped slot extending along its inner circumference, wherein the condom is received in the slot.

The holder can include an open ring which has a circumferential part with a U- shaped cross-section. The device can be received in a case.

The key can be shifted with respect to the holder in the plane defined by the condom.

The device can include a mechanism providing that the holder travels to a longer distance than the key. A cable passed over a crossbar engaged with the key can connect the holder and the base.

The key can be installed on a seat rested against the base.

The base can be received in the skin.

In this embodiment, the skin is constituted by a package, and the base is constituted by a plate received in the package in parallel to the plane defined by the condom.

The holder can be provided with a lid at least partially covering the outer side of the condom held by the holder, the lid being used as the key.

Further, the problem is solved by inventing a device for unpacking a condom held by a holder, the device comprising a base, the holder with a condom flatly arranged and held therein, and a skin connected to the base and at least partially enclosing the holder and condom held therein, wherein the holder is displaceably mounted for guided displacement with respect to the base in the plane defined by the condom, the device is further provided with at least one lever having a pivot located at the base; the lever being connected to the holder in such a way that the lever can be acted upon with at least one digit of a hand, so that said displacement of the holder with respect to the base is performed by affecting the lever with said digit. When unpacking the condom, the user holds the device for the base and the lever with digits of his hand, and performs the displacement by the digit holding the lever.

Thus, only one hand is required to unpack the condom using simple motion of the digit of said hand. Easy and comfortable unpacking is achieved thereby. As a result, the distraction of the user from sexual intercourse during condom unpacking procedure is minimal. Due to the displacement being performed in the plane defined by condom, the package is quite compact and convenient for keeping it in a pocket.

The base may comprise a box with at least one opening through which the lever can be acted upon with a digit, a plate fixed in the box and provided with a slot used as a guideway for the holder; and a lug for mounting the lever, wherein the skin is placed in the box and attached to the plate and the holder includes a pin extending beyond the skin, displaceably received in the slot and provided with expanded part on the opposite, from the holder, side of the plate for preventing the pin from leaving the slot.

The advantage of using the box as a base is that the box also serves as a container, which protects the packed condom from external effects and prevents accidential package damaging.

A flexible crosspiece can pass between the opposite walls of the opening; the box may include a notch disposed at the opening area. Said crosspiece can comprise a ribbedsupport area designed for acting upon with digit of a hand providing better friction between the digit and the crosspiece.

The box can be formed with one open end, through which the holder can bulge out. The connection of the lever and the holder can be flexible.

The lever can be at least partially flexible.

The skin can comprise a package made at least of one sheet.

The skin can be provided with weakened lines.

The skin can be made of a sheet material which includes at least two layers; one said layer being thin, solid, and impenetrable, and the other one can be more strong and provided with weakened lines.

The device can be provided with another lever. In this case, when unpacking the condom, the user holds the device for the levers with the digits of his hand, performing the displacement by affecting said levers with the same digits (bringing together said digits).

Thus, only one hand is required to unpack the condom using simple motion of two digits of said hand. Easy and comfortable unpacking is achieved thereby.

Furthermore, the mentioned problem can be solved by a device for unpacking a condom held by a holder, the device comprising a holder with a condom flatly arranged and held therein and a skin enclosing the holder with condom held therein; at least a part of the outer periphery of the holder is defined by tapering surfaces adapted to sliding with respect to the skin when they are pressed through the skin by the digits of a hand.

In this case, when unpacking the condom, the user holds the device for the skin by the digits of one hand, and the displacement is performed by pressing out the

holder with condom held therein from the skin. During said pressing-out said digits are brought together.

Due to this design of the device, only one hand is required to unpack the condom using simple motion of two digits of said hand. Easy and comfortable unpacking is achieved thereby.

Said surfaces can be formed by a frame at least partially embraces the holder along its perimeter and received in the skin.

The device can include wedge-like keys connected to the skin or partially forming the skin, the keys being adapted for displacement with respect to said surfaces by pressing said keys through the skin.

The device can include a V-shaped bracket received in the skin, the bracket having a U-shaped cross-section, the bracket embracing the holder from the outside.

Furthermore, the mentioned problem is solved by implementing a method for unpacking a condom held by a holder, flatly arranged and received in an unpacking device; according to this method, holding the device in the user's hand, and displacing a part of the device with respect to the remaining part of the device until at least part of the condom is released, wherein said displacement is performed using a digit of the hand holding the device, and a mechanical interaction between said digit and the displaceable part of the device is created by pressing said digit to the device in the direction perpendicular to the direction of said displacement of the displaceable part.

Thus, when unpacking the condom, the user can hold the device in a comfortable position, whereas the digit displacement direction is natural and convenient for the user. In one embodiment, the step of holding the device in the user's hand includes holding with the user's digits the base and a lever of the device, and the step of said displacement includes acting upon the lever with the digit holding the lever; the pivot of the lever being disposed on the base.

In another embodiment, the step of holding the device in the user's digits levers pivotally connected to the base and adapted to be held with digits of a hand and to act upon the holder while pivoted and the step o said displacement includes acting

upon said levers with the same digits by bringing them together; wherein the turning axes of the lever are disposed on the base.

In yet another embodiment, the step of holding the device in the user's hand includes holding the skin adapted to be held with the digits of a hand; and the step of said displacement includes pressing the holder with condom held therein out of the skin by brining said digits together.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFFERED EMBODIMENT

Figures 11-22 represent one of the embodiments of a condom unpacking device compring a base constituted by a flat box 3. Box 3 has one open end 4. Box 3 is made of two pieces: a tray 5 and a lid 6 connected to each other like pieces of a soapbox. Box lid 6 has a central through slot 61 running from one edge to another edge of the box. The connection between tray 5 and lid 6 connection can be secured with a bond or a detachable mechanical joint. Box 3 can be made of a material of any type having sufficient stiffness to preserve its content and hold it in hand, e.g., this box can be made of plastic. In other words, box 3 is a container.

It can be seen from Figures 11 , 12 and 14 that placed in box 3 is a holder 7 comprising a hollow ring 8 with a shaped channel 9 running around the inner circumference of the ring. A condom 1 , e.g. an aforementioned traditionally used condom, is received in the channel 9. Most part of condom 1 is rolled into a ring and received in the shaped channel 9 of ring 8, excluding the condom end part spanning the opening of ring 8. A plane running through the equator of the ring to which the condom is rolled, is further referred to as the plane defined by the condom.

A seat 10 for key 11 is connected to ring 8 on the outer part of holder 7. Seat 10 comprises a plate 12 provided with two supports 13 and 14 facing tray 5. Seat 10 is connected to ring 8 with a crosspiece 15 having an L-shaped profile and ensuring that the plate 12 is arranged in box 3 directly under lid 6, above the plane defined by ring

8. In this embodiment, ring 8 of holder 7 is disconnected because of a gap 154 opposite to crosspiece 15.

Key 11 has a size and shape suitable for manipulating it with a finger, and has on its underside two pins 16 and 17. Key 11 is mounted on the outer part of box 3 by means of pins 16 and 17 passing through slot 61 and through openings 22 and 23 of the plate 12. Pins 16 and 17 have skewed surfaces 18 and 19 and shoulders 20 and 21 engaged with edges of openings 22 and 23. Therefore, pins 16 and 17 are locked in these openings in such manner that key 11 is retained on seat 10. In this case a gap 26 is formed between the plate 12 upper surface 24 and the key 11 lower surface 25, the width of the gap 26 being a little greater than the thickness of box 3 wall. The gap is formed by projections 27 and 28 projecting from the upper surface of plate 12 and supporting the underside of key 11. Further, the gap is formed by projection 29 on the underside of key 11 between pins 16 and 17. projection 29 rests upon the surface 24 of the seat 10 between openings 22 and 23 and is the same height as projections 27 and 28. Lug 27 has a sharp edge faced to the holder 7.

Ring 8 of holder 7, crosspiece 15, seat 10 and key 11 can either be integraly formed, or made of parts rigidly connected to each other. Ring 8 of holder 7 is packed, together with condom 1 , into a skin constituted by a package 2 having a shape similar to that of a package traditionally used for packing condoms, i.e. a package having two sheets 51 and 52 connected with each other at their edges as shown in Figure 11. Preferably, sheets of package 2 are made of a polymer film. In the area where crosspiece 15 projects out of the ring and, therefore, out of package 2, the edges of package 2 remain disconnected and embrace the crosspiece 15. As shown in Figure 15, crosspiece 15 in vicinity of this area is flat and provided with sharpened edges 30 and 31 in order to let sheets 51 and 52 of the package 2 tightly embrace the crosspiece 15, so the package can be sealed. To ensure that the package is hermetical, the connection between package 2 and crosspiece 15 can be sealed with glue or a sealant (not shown in the drawings).

Package 2 can comprise weakened lines in order to facilitate its tearing. These lines can be provided, e.g. when the package is made of a double-layer film. One

layer of this film is thin, solid, and impenetrable, and the other layer is more firm and provided with weakened lines allowing to tear open the double-layered package.

Preferable arrangement of these lines is shown in Figure 16. One weakened line 32 runs along the edge of package 2 on the opposite side to the exit point of crosspiece 15. Furthermore, weakened lines 33 and 34 run through the package edges around the exit point of crosspiece 15. The ends of lines 33 and 34 are connected by a weakened line 35. Line 36 runs along the package from line 32 to line 35 and in parallel to the slot 61.

Package 2 is bonded, e.g. glued to tray 5 of the box 3. It is possible to secure the package in the box mechanically, e.g. at least one edge opening in the package can be engaged with a respective lug (not shown in the drawings) on the inner surface of the box. As shown in Figure 16, points 37 and 38 at which package 2 is secured to the tray 5 are preferably on both sides of the crosspiece at the package edge where crosspiece 15 exits from the package. However, larger areas of the package can be used for securing the package For example, the package can be secured along its edge or at the area of the sheet 51 adjacent to tray 5 or a part of this area. Similarly, the package can also be attached to lid 6.

Figures 17-22 illustrate the device assemblage procedure. Firstly, the holder 7 packed in the package 2 with seat 10 extending out, is placed in tray 5 of box 3 (Figure 17), positioning the seat 10 on the opposite side to open end 4 of box 3. Then lid 6 (see Figure 18) is attached to tray 5 The lid can be fixed with respect to the tray, if necessary. After that, key 11 is installed on the outer side of the lid 6 at the slot 61 end by pushing the pins 16 and 17 through the slot 61 into openings 22 and 23 in plate 12 to latch pins 16 and 17 in openings 22 and 23 (see Figure 19). In this case, seat 10 withstands the force acting from the key because supports 13 and 14 bear on tray 5. The assembled device is shown in Figures 20 and 21.

Device is operated as follows: the user takes the device in his hand, so that the open end 4 of the box 3 faces forward and away from the user, and puts his thumb on the key 11. At the same time, the user keeps holding the device with other fingers. Then the user presses the key providing the necessary friction between the thumb and the key and preventing the thumb slipping from the key. Then the user

applies some force to the key to displace the key along the slot 61 in the plane defined by the condom, while still pressing the key with his thumb.

As shown in Figure 23, vector of the force acting upon the key has two components. Force component 101 is directed along the key displacement line, while component 201 is directed perpendicularly to the key displacement line. Force component 101 moves the key, while force component 201 provides mechanical engagement between the thumb and the key, so that friction forces prevent the thumb from slipping down the key to the box surface.

It shall be noted that the direction of the force provided by the thumb acting upon the key depends on the shape of key. If the force application surface is perpendicular to the key displacement direction (as shown in Figure 24), the thumb force vector acts upon the key in the direction of key displacement, while the force component perpendicular to the key displacement direction is not present.

Theoretically, the key can be acted upon in such a way that a component will exist which is perpendicular both to the direction of the key displacement and to component 201 , e.g. in case the vector of force applied by the user to the key does not lie exactly in the same plane with components 101 and 201 or in case the key is asymmetrical. If this perpendicular component is not too big, it would not affect the device performance. Pins 16 and 17 and projections 27, 28, and 29 are displaced in the slot 61 used as a guideway; whilen the upper surface 24 of plate 12 and the lower surface 25 of the key travel, correspondingly, upon and under the lid due to gap 26. Walls of the box 3, together with the slot 61 are also used as a guideway for the holder 7, preventing the holder from displacement in any other direction than outwards through the open end 4 of the box 3.

Key 11 and ring 8 of the holder 7 are integral, therefore package 2 prevents the key 11 from displacement because package 2 is attached to the box 3 as described above. Therefore, when the displacement of key 11 starts, the front edge of holder 7 thrusts against the front edge of the package 2 from the inside, while the sharpened projection 27 (see Figure 13) thrusts against the opposite edge of the package. By further displacement of key 11 , package 2 is torn at its front edge, allowing holder 7

with condom 1 slide forward and out of package 2 and box 3 through the open end 4. At the same time, package 2 is torn on the opposite edge by lug 27. The tearing action is facilitated due to weakened lines 32-36. As seen in the drawings, the key 11 is displaced in the direction parallel to the plane defined by the condom. When the key 11 is displaced up to the end of slot 61 , the holder 7 leaves the package 3 completely (see Figure 22). The condom 1 is therefore ready to be put on, and the user can easily put the condom on holding the box 3 in his hand.

Thus, only one hand and one simple motion of the thumb of this hand is required to unpack condom 1. This results in easy and quick unpacking. Holder 7 is manually displaced by thumb, therefore the force required to open the skin (in this case, to tear the package 2) can be controlled depending on the strength of the skin. This results in reliable unpacking. Hence, the process of unpacking condom 1 only slightly distracts the user's attention from sexual intercourse.

Proportions of the parts in the embodiment described and shown in the drawings provide for the displacement of the upwards-facing key 11 with the thumb as the most convenient method. However, any finger can be used to move the key 11 at the user's discretion.

All the embodiments shown herein imply that the base is held in hand, while the finger (preferably the thumb) makes the outwards motion, i.e. the thumb motion is similar to that used to open a switchblade knife. Such kind of action is natural and convenient for the user. Theoretically, a condom can be unpacked using an inwards motion, but such kind of motion is not convenient for the user because the described devices are not compatible with this type of motion.

As shown in Figures 25-28, modified tray 5, seat 10 and holder 7 can be used. In Figure 28 where a holder 7 with condom 1 is shown separately from box 3, the holder 7 still comprises a ring 8 to which a seat 10 comprising a plate 12 is connected. However, this embodiment is characterized in that plate 12 has no supports 13 and 14. Instead, supports 39 areprovided at the tray bottom, the supports having the same height as supports 13 and 14 (see Figures 25-27). To fix the plate 12 two more supports 40 of increased height are arranged transversely on both sides of plate 12 in the assembled device. When the key 11 is mounted on the

seat 10, the force applied from the key upon the seat 10 is withstood because the key rests upon supports 39. Furthermore, seat 10 is additionally fixed with supports 40 to prevent the lateral displacement of the seat. The unpacking procedure is the same as described above. End 4 can be closed with the flaps 41 and 42, rather than open.; These flaps open when the holder moves forward as shown in Figures 29 and 30.

As shown in Figures 31-34, flaps 41 and 42 can be provided with a lock in order to prevent the holder with the condom held therein from leaving the package. Before unpacking the condom, the lock shall be removed. The lock can, e.g. can be a locking hook 43 pivotally mounted on the lid 6 and embracing the end 4 and, particlularly, flaps 41 and 42 as shown in Figures 31-34.

It shall be noted that the base does not necessarily have the shape of a box shown in Figures 17-21 or 25-27. To reduce the box weight it can include openings (Figure 35). The base can also be a wire frame, e.g. see Figure 36. The base can also be a net of plastic fibers fused into the skin as shown in Figure 37. These fibers have the necessary stiffness to prevent the skin from deformation when the user holds the device in his hand and when he acts upon the key connected with the holder ring placed in the skin. This leads to the skin breakage where no fibers are provided, and the condom held by holder is unpacked. Another embodiment shown in Figures 38-40 features a base constituted by a plate 103. A sheet 152, preferably made of a polymer film, is bonded, e.g. glued to the edges of plate 103. The plate can be made of any material having a sufficient stiffness allowing to hold the plate in hand; for example the plate can be made of plastic. The holder 107 with the condom 1 is placed between the sheet 152 and the plate 103. Therefore, plate 103 not only acts as a base, but forms, together with the sheet 152, a skin for the condom holder and condom. The seat 110 of the key 111 is attached to the ring 108 of the holder 107. In this embodiment, seat 110 is connected to the ring 108 directly, no crosspiece 15 is used. Although the shape of seat 110 differs from the shape of seat 10, seat 110 also comprises a plate 112 and supports 113 and 114. Plate 112 has two openings 122 and 123 for installing the pins 116 and 117 of the key. The key 111 is placed on the outer side of the sheet 152 in a way

allowing the key pins go through the corresponding openings in the sheet 152. There may be an embodiment where the pins tear the openings in the process of mounting the key. Thus, the part 150 of the sheet 152 mating the seat 110 top surface 124 from below and mating the key 111 bottom surface 125 from above, is clamped between these surfaces. Surface 124 and/or 125 can be glued to the adjacent part 150 of the sheet 152 to seal the condom package.

To unpack the condom, the user takes the device in his hand in such way, that that the key 111 is facing up and towards the user, then puts the thumb of the same hand on the key 111. Then user presses the thumb against the key for providing the necessary friction between the thumb and the key and preventing the thumb from slipping down the key, then the user applies a force to the key to displace the key in the plane defined by the condom, while still pressing the key with his thumb.

Key 111 and the holder 107 are integral, therefore sheet 152 attached to plate 3, prevents the key 111 from displacement. Thus, when the key 111 is displaced, the holder 107 front end rests upon the fore edge of the sheet 152 from the inside, while the rear edge of the sheet is stretched because a part 150 of sheet 152 is clamped between the key 111 and the seat 110. When the key is displaced further, sheet 152 either tears or disconnecs from the plate 103, and holder 107 with condom 1 slides forward, beyond sheet 152 and plate 103. At the same time the sheet 152 is either torn at a spot between part 150 and an area where sheet 152 is attached to plate 103, or disconnects from plate 103. Similarly to the package 2 described in previous embodiments, the sheet 152 can be provided with weakened lines to facilitate and control its tearing.

Holder 107 can only be displaced lengthwise, while any displacement in another direction is prevented by plate 103 from one side and by sheet 152 from other three sides, wherein the lateral edges of sheet 152 remain attached to plate 103 along the path of ring 108. Thus, plate 103 and sheet 152 act as a guideway for displacement of holder 107. When key 111 reaches the edge of plate 103, holder 107 moves beyond sheet 152 and plate 103. The condom 1 is therefore ready to be put on, and the user can easily put the condom on while keeping his thumb on the key 111 and shifting his index finger in order to sustain the holder 107 from below and therefore

clamp holder 107 between the thumb and the index finger. Plate 103 can either be still held in hand or released.

Thus, only one hand and one simple motion of the thumb is required to unpack condom 1. This results in easy and quick unpacking. Holder 107 is manually displaced by thumb, therefore the force required to open the skin (in this case, to tear the sheet 152 or disconnect this sheet from plate 103) can be controlled depending on the skin strength. This results in reliable unpacking. Hence, the process of unpacking condom 1 only slightly distracts the user's attention from sexual intercourse. In Figure 41 , a variation of this embodiment is shown. It features the base, which is also formed by plate 103 to which a package 102 rather than sheet 152 is connected. Like package 2, package 102 comprises two sheets 151 and 152 connected to each other by their edges. Package 102 can be attached, e.g. bonded to the plate 103 with its sheet 151. The processes of mounting the key 111 and unpacking condom 1 are the same as described in the previous example.

It should be noted that plate 103, in this embodiment, can be provided with additional guiding means, as shown in Figures 42-44 in which the sheet(s) forming the skin are not shown for clarity. Additional guiding means are a slot 161 extending in the plate 103 from one plate edge towards the other plate edge, but not reaching this edge. In this embodiment holder 107, like holder 7 shown in Figure 28, comprises a ring 108 to which a seat 110 comprising a plate 112 is attached. However in contrast to holder 7 shown in Figure 28, plate 112 of holder 107 is provided on its underside with a pin 70 received in slot 161 and having on the end an expanded part 71 preventing the escape of pin 70 from slot 161. Condom unpacking is performed in the same way as described in the above- described embodiment where no slot 161 is provided in plate 103. However, slot 161 acts as an additional guideway and makes the holder displacement smoother. Another advantage is that holder 107 (as well as holder 7 in the embodiment where the base is a box with a slot) is not separated from the base at the final stage of unpacking.

Yet another embodiment of the base is shown in Figures 45-47. According to this embodiment, the base is constituted by a tray 186 having a bottom 155 shaped as a plate with rounded edge bounded from three sides by the flange 156 with the edge 157 bent outwards. End part 104 of the tray 186 is open. Pins 139 and 140 are used to prevent seat 148 from lateral movement. Holder 107 and condom 1 (similar to those shown in Figures 38-40) are placed in the tray. Sheet 194 is attached to the tray edge in such manner that the holder 107 with condom 1 is in the tray 186 under the sheet 194. Thus, sheet 194 together with tray 186 form a skin in which the holder 107 with condom 1 are received. The processes of mounting key 111 and unpacking condom 1 are the same as described in the previous example. It is convenient to keep tray 186 in the pocket due to its rounded edge.

Figures 48-52 represent another invention embodiment of the invention, in which the base is made of a rectangular sheet (e.g. of cardboard or plastic) having its opposite edges bent to form a duct 187 with open faces 204 and 164, and with a longitudinal slot on the top surface. In this duct, holder with condom 1 are received. In this embodiment, holder 107 comprises a ring 108 connected with a key seat 149 formed as a plate 158. Extending from plate 158, is a pin 216 in the shape of truncated cone, with the pin having a round opening 166 on its end. As shown in Figures 49 and 50, pin 216 extends through a slot 261. This slot, as well as the duct ends 204 and 164, is covered with stuck film 195, e.g. with adhesive tape. Key 111 is mounted on the pin 216 and has on its underside a cylindrical boss 165 received in a round opening 166 of the pin. Boss 165 runs through an opening in the film. This opening can be torn while mounting the lug. In this example duct 187 together with film 195 constitute skin for the condom. When unpacking the condom 1 , the user uses his thumb to move the key 111 in the slot 261. The film on the end 204 is therefore torn by the front edge of holder 107, and then holder 107 leaves the duct 187. By displacing key 111 up to the end of the slot 261 holder 107 leaves the duct 187 completely. The condom 1 is therefore ready to be put on, and the user can easily put the condom on keeping his thumb on the key 111 and shifting his index finger in order to sustain the holder 107 from below and

therefore clamp holder 107 between the thumb and the index finger. Duct 187 can either be held in hand or released.

Apparently, a means similar to duct 187 can be used as a base for holder 107 with the condom 1 described above with reference toFigure 41 packed in a package. In this case, package 102 should be attached to the duct 187. This embodiment is shown in Figures 53 and 54. In this case, condom 1 is unpacked as described above. Generally, a base can be in many different embodiments as long as its main purpose is achieved: to ensure holding the device in hand, connecting the skin to the base, and displacing the holder with condom with respect to the base. Besides those described above, some other constructions meet the aforementioned requirements; for example, a U-shaped construction (see Figures 55-57) to which edges of a package are attached and a rectangular frame (see Figures 58 and 59) to which edges of a package are also attached. One more example is a tray (see Figures 60 and 61) to which a package is connected in the same way as the package shown in the Figure 18 is connected to tray 5. In the embodiment shown in Figures 58 and 59 as well as several embodiments described below, the package is formed of one sheet folded in two and then connected at edges.

Figures 62-66 represent one more embodiment in which a polymer film 252 is attached to the edges of a base constituted by a plate 203. Holder 207 with condom 1 is placed between sheet 252 and plate 203. A key 211 having an inclined thrust surface 260 is attached directly to a ring 208 of holder 207. Thus, holder 207 with key 211 is completely enclosed in the skin formed by plate 203 and sheet 252.

To unpack the condom, the user takes the device in his hand in such manner, that the key 211 which is identifiable as a projection tightly covered with sheet 252, is facing up and towards the user, then puts the thumb of the same hand on the key 260, fumbling the key through the film. Then, holding the plate 203, with his hand, the user applies some force to the key 211 with his thumb, pressing the holder 207 out of the skin. The pressing can include one movement or several movements. In the latter case, the user has to release and reposition his thumb several times. Force vector of a thumb acting upon the key has two components. The component directed along the key displacement line is shown in Figure 68 as an

arrow, while the component perpendicular to the key displacement direction is not shown. However, in contrast to the embodiment described with reference to Figure 23, it is not necessary to create mechanical engagement between thumb and key to prevent, by means of friction forces, the thumb from slipping down the key because, if such engagement is created, the film clamped between the thumb and the key would have been stretched and thus would prevent the key displacement. Therefore, while acting upon the key, the thumb shall be used in a way ensuring the sliding of the film between the thumb and the key.

Thus, the user has to adjust the thumb pressure to make it neither too strong, so that the thumb can slide along the film, nor excessively weak, so that the thumb cannot slide up the inclined key surface.

Sheet 252 is attached to the plate 203, preventing the displacement of holder 207. Therefore, when the holder starts to be displaced the front edge of the holder 207 thrusts from the inside against the front edge of sheet 252. When holder 207 is displaced further, the front edge of sheet 252 is torn (see Figure 64) or disconnected from the plate 203, so that holder 207 with condom 1 slides forward beyond the sheet 252 and plate 203. As with the packages 2 and 152 described in the previous embodiments, sheet 252 can comprise weakened lines to facilitate its tearing in a controllable manner. Holder 207 leaves sheet 252 and plate 203 completely when key 211 is displaced up to the edge of plate 203 (see Figures 65 and 66). At the same time, the user shifts his fingers to hold the holder 207 and releases the plate 203. This results in the condom 1 becoming ready to be put on, and the user can easily put the condom on.

Figure 67 represents a variation of this embodiment where the base is constituted by a plate 203 connected with a skin constituted by a package 202 comprising two sheets 251 and 252 connected to each other by their edges. Condom 1 is generally unpacked in a similar way to that described in the previous example.

It should be noted that plate 203, in this embodiment, can be provided with additional guiding means which are similar to those shown in Figures 42-44. Apparently, the base either positioned below the package (see Figure 41) or forming lower wall of the skin (see Figure 39), does not necessarily have the shape of

a rectangular plate but can be implemented in many different ways. The base can be, for example, a tray similar to that shown in Figures 45-47. This example is shown in Figures 69-71. A holder 307 with a key 99 is designed similarly to the holder shown in Figure 62. This holder is placed in a tray-shaped base 188. Similarly to the embodiment shown in Figures 45-47, a sheet 194 is attached to the tray edge in such manner that holder 307 with condom 1 is placed in tray 188 under sheet 194. This embodiment differs in that key 99 is placed under sheet 194, not outside.

Figures 72-74 represent the embodiment in which the device is provided with additional guiding means, namely, plate 206 with the slot 361 in this plate; the slot running from one plate edge towards the other plate edge, but not reaching this edge. In this embodiment holder 307 holds the ring 308 with attached key 311. As with the plate 112 of the holder 107 shown in the Figure 42, key 311 has on its underside a pin 170 received in the slot 361 and having on the end an expanded part 171 preventing the escape of pin 170 from the slot 361. Ledge 72 is arranged between plate 206 and base 255 providing a gap therebetween. Plate 206 rests upon ledge 72 during mounting. This gap is needed to fit the expanded part 171.

When unpacking the condom, the user takes the device in his hand in such a manner that the key 311 identifiable as a projection tightly covered with sheet 194, is facing upwards and towards the user, then puts the thumb of the same hand on the key 260, fumbling the key through film. Then, still holding tray 189, user applies some force to the key 311 with his thumb, pressing the holder 307 out of the skin. Front edge of sheet 194 is torn , and holder 307 with condom 1 slides forward beyond the sheet 194 and plate 189. Slot 361 acts as an additional guideway and makes the displacement of holder 307 smoother. Upon reaching the end of the slot, the key remains engaged with it, thus, holder 307 at the final unpacking stage is not separated from the base (in this case, tray 189). The condom 1 is now ready to be put on, and the user can easily put the condom on. It is convenient to keep the tray in the pocket due to the rounded edge of tray 189.

It is clear that the same additional guiding means can be used in the embodiment comprising a tray-shaped base a key outside the film (see Figures 45-47). This combination is shown in Figures 75-79.

It is not necessary to install the key on the rear end of the holder. Figure 80 represents a ring-shaped holder 77 An annular plate 58 with a key 120 is mounted on top of holder 77. Figure 81 shows this holder placed in a skin between a plate-shaped base 203 and a polymer film sheet 252 having its edges attached to the holder. When the key is shifted, annular plate 58 thrusts against the holder ring and makes the holder tear the film 252 so that the condom is unpacked. Plate 58 can be removed by penis while putting the condom on. Alternatively, the user can manually removw plate 58 from the holder.

As it can be seen from the previous example, it is not necessary that the upper surface of the holder with the condom held therein is free when the condom is ready to be put on. For example, a lid pivotable when the condom is being put on can cover the top surface. Surface release requirement is related Only to the lower surface of the holder with the condom held therein shall be exposed.

A shaped rigid lid 205 mounted on the plate 203 (see Figure 82) can also be used. In this case, only the part of the upper surface of the package not covered by the lid 205 is used for pressing the holder through the film.

All aforementioned examples disclose a configuration of the holder ring and key where the force vector of a finger acting upon the key lies in the plane perpendicular to plane defined by the condom. It can be said that the key is placed on top the device. However, in some embodiments this vector lies in the plane defined by the condom. It can be said that in these examples the key is placed laterally. One embodiment of this configuration is shown in Figures 83-87. The base is a flat box 303 having one open end 304 and consisting of two pieces: tray 305 and lid 306 connected to each other like pieces of a soapbox. Tray and lid connection can be secured by bonding or with a detachable mechanical joint. On one of the lateral sides of box 303, lateral sides 373 and 374 of tray 305 and lid 306, respectively, are provided with corresponding cuts 375 and 376 defining therebetween a slot 362 which does not reach the ends of parts 305 and 306.

Holder 177 comprising a hollow ring 178 is placed in the box 303. Ring 178 in this embodiment has a gap 254 and is thereforedisconnected.

Condom 1 is received in an annular channel of ring 178 of holder 177. An L- shaped plate 248 is disposed in the plane defined by ring 178 and attached to the outer edge of ring 178. Part 379 of plate 248 corresponding to a part of " "L" runs from the ring 178 in radial direction, while part 380 of plate 248 corresponding another part of "L" extends from part 379 in transverse direction. Plate 248 is best seen in Figure 87. A key 321 is arranged tangentially to the ring circumference on the lateral end of plate 248. The key is not necessarily a separate part because the gap is formed between separable pieces of the box. Thus, ring 178, plate 248, and key 321 are integrally formed. Holder ring 178 and condom 1 are packed in a skin in this case constituted by a package 302 formed by one sheet folded in two and then connected by its edges. The sheet of which skin 302 is formed is preferably made of polymer film. It shall be noted that the edges of package 302 in the area where part 379 of plate 248 extends out of the package 302, remain disconnected and embrace part 379. These edges can be bonded, e.g. glued to this part. Package 302 is attached to the inner side of the box 303 with its lateral edges. Package 302 comprises weakened lines shown in the Figure 83 as dotted lines.

Figures 83-85 illustrate the device assemblage procedure. Firstly, the holder 177 packed in the package 302 is placed in the tray 305 of the box 303 (Figure 83), positioning plate 248 on the opposite side to the end 304 of the box 303, and the part 380 of plate 248 is placed in the cut 375. Then the lid 306 (see Figure 84) is put on the tray 305 and fixed with respect to the tray 305, if necessary. Assembled device is shown in Figure 85.

The device is used as follows: the user takes the device in his hand with the open end 304 of the box 303 facing forward, away from the user, and puts his thumb on the key-shaped boss 321. Then the user applies some force to the key with his thumb. Part 380 of plate 248 travels in the slot 362 used as a guideway, while the key- shaped boss 321 travels outside the box 303. The walls of box 303 are used as an additional guideway for holder 177; preventing the holder from displacement in any other direction than outwards through the open end 304 of the box 303.

Since key-shaped boss 321 and ring 178 of the holder 177 are integral, the package 302 prevents the displacement of key-shaped boss 321 because this package is attached to box 303, as mentioned before. Thus, when the lug 321 starts its displacement, the front edge of holder 177 thrusts from the inside against the front edge of the package 302, and on the opposite side of the package part 379 of the plate 248 stretches the edge of the package between the area attached to the plate and the areas attached to the box 303, while part 380 thrusts against the edge of the package. When key-shaped boss 321 is displaced further, the package 302 is torn along the weakened lines, then holder 177 with condom 1 slides forward out of package 302 and box 303 through the open end 304 of the box . When the key- shaped boss 321 is moved up to the slot 362 end, the holder 177 completely leaves the package 303 (see Figure 86). The condom 1 is therefore ready to be put on and the user can easily put the condom on while holding the box 303 in his hand.

Thus, only one hand and one simple motion of the thumb is required to unpack condom 1 using the simple motion of the thumb. This results in easy and quick unpacking. Holder 177 is is manually displaced by thumb, therefore the force required to open the skin (in this case, to tear the package 302) can be controlled depending on the skin. This results in reliable unpacking. Hence, the process of unpacking condom 1 only slightly distracts the user's attention from sexual intercourse.

It should be noted that the faces of the device as well as the key on these faces are not necessarily arranged in parallel or perpendicular to the plane defined by the condom. In fact condom is folded, in this case, rolled into ring and flatly arranged. Thus, it is natural that the shape of the device is generally flat to be compact and storable in pocket (i.e. at least one dimension of the device is relatively small), and top, bottom, and lateral faces can be distinguished. It can be noted, however, that generally, the faces (and the key at these faces) can be inclined to 30-45 degrees to the plane defined by the condom rather than being strictly parallel or perpendicular to the plane defined by the condom. The same relates to the embodiments in which a key is on the lateral side of the box. Similarly to the embodiments with the key on top, the base does not necessary

have the shape of a box described in the previous example. Many different base designs can be used to gain the main purpose of the base: to allow holding the device in hand, attaching the skin to the base, and displacing the holder with condom held therein with respect to the base. The simplest design meeting these requirements seems to be a U-shaped member used as a base. A device with such a base is shown in Figures 88-92.

A holder of this embodiment is shown in Figure 88. A plate 249 is connected to a ring 178 of a holder 177 on the outer side. The plate comprises two parts: angular part 179, and an extension 180 extending from the ring in approximately radial direction. An edge 181 of the angular part 179 extends radially from the ring 178. A key-shaped boss 324 on the end of extension 180 is positioned tangentially to the circumference of the ring. Ring 178, plate 249, and boss 324 are integrally formed.

Ring 178 of the holder with the condom 1 held and the part 179 of the plate 249 are packed into a skin constituted by a package 392 as shown in the Figure 89. Further, the edges of package 392 remain disconnected in the area where part 180 of the plate 249 extends out of the ring and the package 392, and embrace part 180. Package 392 is connected to the inner side of profile 286 by its lateral edge. Package 392 comprises the weakened lines shown in Figure 89 as dotted lines.

The device is used as follows: the user takes the device in hand putting his thumb on the key-shaped boss 324 while grasping the profile 286 with other fingers. Then the user's thumb applies some force to the key, thuspressing the edge 181 of angular part 179 to profile 286 and makes angular part 179 together with holder 177 slide along profile 286 used as a guideway. As a result, package 392 having its edge connected to profile 286 is stretched and torn at the weakened lines. Displacement of angular part 179 up to the edge of profile286, the holder 177 completely leaves package 392 and comes off its guideway, i.e. profile 286. Meanwhile, the user shifts his fingers to hold the holder 177 and releases profile 286. As a results, condom 1 is ready to be put on, and the user can easily put the condom on. Figure 93 represents a variation in which profile 286 is elongated, thus the user can keep pressing the angular part 179 to profile 286 even when holder 177 leaves the package 392.

Therefore, holder 177 is not disconnected from profile 286 and the user is not required to shift his fingers to grasp the holder.

A device shown in Figures 94-98 is used in the same manner; the base of this device is an L-shaped holding structure comprising the following two parts: a bottom part 105 and a top part 106 connected to each other by any known means. The edges of package 302 are fastened by clamping them between these parts. This design allows attaching to the base not only the lateral side, but also the rear side of package 302 to avoid package crushing while displacing the holder, therefore the user can easily control the force used for tearing package. Figures 99 and 100, 101 and 102, 103-105 represent three other modifications of the base: a profile with a bottom plate, a "book", and a box having an open lateral side and an open end, respectively.

Figures 106-109 represent an embodiment in which the base comprises two plates 220 and 221 on both sides of a skin (package 241) enclosing a holder with condom, the package being attached to both plates. Key 242 extends out of the circumference of plates 220 and 221 and thrusts against the edge of the plates when the key is pressed. When unpacking the condom, the user presses the plate edges 243 and 244 and shifts the key 242. Key 242 thrusts against the edge of plates 220 and 221 while the holder thrusts against the opposite edge of the package 245. Therefore, the edge of plates 220 and 221 and the edge of package 245 form a guideway for holder displacement. Figures 110-114 represent a device in which a base is a box having one open lateral side and one open rear end closed with film 352 or adhesive tape in the same way as the faces and the slot of the duct shown in Figures 48-52. In this embodiment the the key can hardly be integral with the holder. Therefore, instead of a key-shaped boss shown in Figure 88, a seat 312 for a key is provided at the end of the extension 280, the seat having two openings 322 and 323, and a key 325 is attached from the outside on pins 316 and 317 received in these openings and pased through corresponding openings in the film that can be torn while installing the key. In another possible embodiment both a holder with condom and a key are completely packed in a package 202. The condom is unpacked by pressing the

holder out the package in a similar way to the embodiment shown in Figure 67. This embodiment for side key arrangement is shown in Figures 115-118. As for two previous examples, the base is a box 288 having one open lateral side and one open rear face. A holder 277 with condom and a key-shaped boss are completely packed into package 393. When opening the package, the user holds box 288 in his hand and acts shifts key 326 with his thumb to pres the holder 277 out the skin. Several other device embodiments are shown below.

Figures 119 and 120 schematically represent a device in which the base is provoded with a handle. In this embodiment, the user displaces a key using his thumb when unpacking the condom, while the other fingers hold the handle of the base. Thus, in this embodiment the user displaces a part of the device positioned outside the holdable part. In this example the condom is unpacked by acting upon the top part of the device, but the device can be easily modified to allow unpacking by acting upon the lateral side. In the aforementioned embodiments the user acts upon the key, shifting the holder in the plane defined by the condom with respect to the base, while the skin remains stationary with respect to the base. An embodiment is possible, in which the holder remains stationary with respect to the base, while package parts covering the sufaces of holder and condom are displaced. Figures 121-124 represent the embodiment in which the user displaces a part located within the holdable part. Holder with condom held therein is fixed in a U- shaped frame 320 used as a base. Frame 320 is glued with a film sheet 319 covering the frame from the top, bottom, and front; the sheet forms the condom skin together with the frame 320. The frame is provided with a lid 318 comprising two plates connected to each other along one of their edges with a connection member 340. Lid 318 is installed on the frame in such manner, that the plates are on both sides with respect to the plane defined by the condom. Lid 318 is adapted to be shifted forward and is connected (e.g. glued) with the film 319. The assembled device is shown in Figure 123. When opening the package, the user grasps the edges 162 and 163 of the U-shaped frame 320, then presses his thumb to the thrust area 330 and shifts the lid 318, therefore the lid is displaced with the connection 340 facing forward in the

direction shown in Figure 124 with an arrow. Part of the film 319 connected with the lid 318 is torn and displaced with the lid 318, resulting in the release of surfaces of the holder with the condom held therein. In this example during the unpacking process a thumb acts upon the top part of the device, but the device can be easily changed to allow unpacking from the lateral side.

A condom unpacking device of any aforementioned embodiment can be additionally placed in an external box or a case. This is shown in Figures 125-127. As it is clear from Figures, an external box 62 is closed on one end with a flap lid 63 attached to the box 62 with sticky spots 67. To facilitate removal of the device, a semicircular cutout 63 is provided under the lid 63 of the box 62. A pull-tab 69 is placed at the lid 63 end to allow the lid opening with one hand. After that the device can be taken out from the box with one hand and unpacked in the manner described above.

In the embodiment in which the base is a box 3 with a slot guideway in the box lid, one more guideway constituted by another slot can be provided. As shown in Figures 128-130, this embodiment results in that the guiding slot 262 is shifted in the direction of the skin weakened line, whereas in the embodiment shown in Figures 11- 22, a weakened line extends directly under the slot, and this may lead to accidental tearing the skin at this line. Among other things, using two slots as guideways provides a steady position of the key on the box and steady displacement during the unpacking.

In contrast to the embodiment shown in Figures 11-22, this embodiment comprises a key 327 provided with two pairs of pins 218 and 219 installed in two pairs of openings 222 and 223 in the key seat 348 respectively. Figures 131 and 132 represent a embodiment in which gaps between mating lateral sides of tray 335 and lid 336 are used as additional guideways. In this case, tray 335 and lid 336 have at their mating sides gaps in which key supports 213 and 214 are received.

Slot 363 is used as a guideway while displacing the holder, the slot can run up to lid 336, allowing to separate the holder from the lid 336 if necessary. Figure 133, for example, shows the slot 363 running up to the edge of lid 336.

Slot 363 can comprise narrowed part 78 on its front side. It allows implementing two modes of condom use. A holder with condom can remain connected to the box when unpacked. User therefore can put the condom on. If the user presses the key

328 with more force, the holder with condom and the key is separated from the box 289. Then the user can put the condom on while holding it by the key 328.

Figure 134 represents annn embodiment with the slot 364 running up to the rear end of the box. This embodiment is used if the holder and the key 328 are non- detachable and the necessity to assemble the device by inserting the packed holder in the box 289 from the rear end is present. Further, during the unpacking of the condom, the key and holder displacement is resisted by the skin that can be torn. However, the force required to tear the skin may vary depending on the thickness of the skin, as it was mentioned earlier. Thus, it is desirable to make the resistance force depend not only on the thickness of the skin. It is desirable to introduce some mechanical device allowing to adjust the resistance force. This feature allows reducing the possibility of accidental tearing of the package with the condom and the holder.

It can be achieved in different ways. Figure 135, for example, represents the top surface of the box with the slot 135 comprising the narrowed part 44 restricting the key displacement. Figure 136 represents the lug 45 at the lower part of the box, this lug engages with the corresponding lug 46 under the seat 349 providing a barrier to holder displacement.

Figures 29 and 30 represent the embodiment with the fore end of the box comprising the unfolding flaps 41 and 42. It is supposed that these flaps easily open during the holder displacement. These flaps can also be implemented as a barrier to holder displacement.

Slot 61 can also be glued with easily torn material; it can be a label (not shown in the drawings), for example. This label is torn while displacing the key forward, this procedure also induces additional resistance to key displacement. The label integrity can indicate the package integrity.

Figures 137-141 represent the embodiment characterized in that a transmission acting as a pulley is incorporated between the holder and the key for providing a full travel of the holder by a shortened displacement of the key.

Figure 137 represents a holder 377 with condom 1 , received in box 290 provided with slot 365. Holder 377 is packed in the skin 394 while the plate 115 of the holder 377 is partially placed outside the skin. The skin 394 is attached to the box 290 as in other examples. Key 290 is installed outside the box 290 on the pin 100 placed in the slot 365. The clamp 81 is installed inside the box 290 at the pin 100 end; wire 82 passes through the clamp. Figure 139 represents the clamp 81 connected to the key 329, and Figure 140 represents the clamp separately. One end 83 of the wire 82 is attached to the plate 115 while the other end 84 is fixed at the lug 85 of the inner surface of the box 290 lid. Wire ends can be connected by any known means providing the necessary wire durability.

During the key 329 displacement, the clamp 81 pulls the wire that pulls the plate 115 and the holder 377 forward and upward. Box 290 prevents the upward displacement, the holder 377 therefore moves forward in the key displacement direction. However, the holder 377 displacement distance is longer than that of the key 329 due to the pulley formed by the wire passing through the clamp, and fixed by its end 84 at the inner surface of the box 290 lid. In this embodiment, key 329 is not connected tightly with the holder 377, thus in order to fixate the holder 377 with respect to the base 290 after the holder moves forward, the bottom of the box is enhanced with the plate with the slot 365 while the holder is enhanced with the pin 270 passing through plate 365 slot and provided with the displacement possibility. This pin has a expanded part 271 , which is similar to the one shown in Figures 42-44.

Figures 142-144 represent the embodiment with box 291 made of two pieces: a holdable part 345 and a displaceable part 346. Holder 387 with condom 1 is attached to the holdable part 345 while the displaceable part 346 is connected with the skin 395 where the holder 387 with condom 1 held is placed. The top surface of the displaceable part 346 features thrust area 360.

When unpacking the condom, the user holds the holdable part in his hand and acts upon the thrust area 360 using his thumb, then moves the displaceable part 345 in plane defined by the condom with respect to the holdable part 345. The skin is therefore torn by the holder, because the holder 387 is attached to one part (345) while the skin is attached to the other (346), after that the displaceable part 346 can be flung off the holder 387 thus releasing condom 1 that can be put on comfortably.

Figures 145-150 represent yet another embodiment. According to this embodiment, the condom unpacking device comprises the base implemented as a flat box 292 with one open face 314, comprising two parts: tray 355 and lid 356. At its lateral sides, box lid 356 has two lugs 90 and 91 installed in the corresponding slots 92 and 93 of the tray 355; these slots are used as guideways in a way allowing the lid to be shifted with respect to the tray 355. The lid has a shape of tetrahedral truncated pyramid and is provided with a thrust surface 60 on one of its sides.

Holder 397 with the condom 1 is placed in the box 292. Holder 397 with the condom 1 is packed in the package 396 that is attached to the lid 356. Crosspiece 215 is attached to the ring 398 of the holder 397. Figure 145 shows the lid 356 connected with the crosspiece 215 with the hinge joint. On its bottom, crosspiece 215 is provided with pin 370 with the expanded part 371. Plate 47 is installed under the holder in the box 292, this plate features the central lengthwise slot 366, pin 370 is placed in the slot 366. Plate 47 is fixed in the tray 355 at some distance from its bottom in order to provide possibility to place the expanded part 371 between the bottom and the plate 47. Package 396 is connected not only with the lid 292, but also with tray 355 or plate 47 or with both of them.

Figures 145-148 illustrate the device assemblage process. Firstly, holder 397 packed into package 396 and with the lid 356 pivotally connected, is attached to plate 47 by installing the pin 370 into the slot 366. Package 396 is glued both to the lid and plate. Than the assembly comprising the lid 356, holder 397, and plate 47 is installed in tray 355. The assembled device is shown in Figure 148.

The device is used as follows: the user takes the device in his hand so that the open end 314 of the box 292 is facing forward and puts his thumb on the thrust surface 60. At the same time, the user keeps holding the device with other fingers.

Then the user pushes the thrust surface 60 using the thumb to shift the lid 356 with respect to the tray 355 along the guideways. Pin 370 is displaced in the slot 366 thus tearing the package 396; the top of the package glued to the lid 356 is shifted along with the lid and the holder. Lid 356 is shifted to the position shown in the Figure 149, then pivoted together with the top part of the package 396, so that holder 397 with condom 1 held therein is exposed (see Figure 150). Condom 1 is therefore ready to be put on, and the user can easily put the condom on while holding the box 303 in his hand.

Thus, similarly with the aforementioned examples, only one hand is needed to unpack condom 1 using simple motion of the thumb.

Figures 151-161 represent the embodiment with the key implemented separately from the holder. Mechanical connection between the key and the holder is that they are engaged with each other. Pushing part 342 with the ledge 72 is arranged at the key 341. Pushing part is engaged with the holder plate 344, which is implemented with the possibility to hold it in hand. Thus, these parts are engaged to provide holder displacement while shifting the key.

Figure 152 represents the assemblage process where key 341 together with the pushing part 342 is inserted in the slot 347 of the upper part 350 of the box. Package 351 with the holder and condom is attached to the tray 353 of the box 354 (Figure 153). Then the box lid together with the key is inserted into the box tray (Figure 154), the pushing part 342 with the ledge 343 is engaged to the plate 344. When displacing the key 341 , the holder is pushed from the box due to the interaction between the pushing part and the plate 344 key(Figure 156). Holder leaves the box when it is pushed out completely, but the key remains in the slot. Then the user can take the holder by the plate 344 and put the condom on.

In the aforementioned examples, the skin is implemented as a package polymer film sheets connected by their edges, or a formed by the plate with sheets connected to it. It should be noted that other embodiments are also possible. The skin, e.g. can be implemented as a solid box made of rigid material capable of breaking when affected by the holder. The embodiment where the condom together with the holder is

folded into a paper or polymer sheet sealed by its edges by adhesive; this sheet does not tear, but unfolds when affected by the holderwith sheet edges disengaging.

The connection between the skin and the base can be implemented by placing the base into the skin. Figures 157-159 represent the base implemented as a plate 357 placed in the package-shaped skin. The holder with the condom held is placed in the package along with the base. The key is attached to the holder through the package (see Figure 158) by the means shown in Figures 38-40. When unpacking the condom, the user holds the plate in his hand, pressing the package edges and fixing them with respect to the plate (Figure 159). Some other bases mentioned above can be used in the skin. Figures 160 and 161 represent the base comprising two parallel plates connected along two edges. The same type of base is used in the device shown in Figures 104 and 105. It should be noted that the holder with the key can be placed inside the package not leaving its boundaries.

The aforementioned examples considered the holder constituted by a hollow open ring with shaped slot passing along its inner circumference. In the "Background Art" section many condom holder designs are described. Any of these condom holders can be used in the condom unpacking device of the invention, because the condom holder is not the matter of this invention. The holder represented in Figures 162-165 can be implemented with this invention. Figures 162 and 163 show the holder implemented as an open ring 200 with mainly C-shape cross-section, comprising two flexible crosspieces 97 and 98 (Figure 165). Crosspieces 97 and 98 are used to remove the holder when the condom is put on. To achieve this, the user displaces the holder in lateral direction and therefore parts of the ring are unfolded at crosspieces 97 and 98 and come apart (see Figure 163), thus the holder can be removed. Figure 164 represents the holder with the condom 1 installed.

Another embodiment is shown in Figs. 166-167, with the key separated from the support.

In this embodiment, the holder with the plate 144 adapted for holding it in hand, is received in the package 145.

Pushing part 147 adjoined to the package 145 at the point where the plate 144 is enclosed in it, is placed on the key 146.

When the key 146 is pulled out, the holder is pushed out of the box by pushing part 147 due to engagement between pushing part 147 and the plate 144 through the package 145. The package therefore slips between pushing part 147 and the plate 144 without tearing the package at the point of contact. The holder is pushed out completely and leaves the box, while the key remains in the slot. The user can take the holder for the plate 144 and put the condom on.

In yet another embodiment shown in Fig. 168-171 , the device includes a base formed by flat box 400. The box has one open end and consists of two parts: pallet 402 and lid 403 connected to each other.

Pallet 402 is formed as a tray including the bottom formed as a plate 404 defined on its two opposite sides by flanges 405 and 406; said flanges are provided with rounded edges on one of their sides, as shown in Fig. 170. Lid 403 is formed as a plate with edge 407 bended towards the pallet; said plate is provided with central through slot 408, beginning at one of its edges not reaching the other edge.

As shown in Fig. 168, holder 409 with condom 1 held therein is placed in box 400. Key 411 is attached to the holder on the outer edge; said key is provided with leaning key surface 412. Holder 409 with condom 1 is received in package 410 attached to box 400.

When holder 409 is placed in box 400, key 411 thrusts upon plate 404, and key surface 412 extends out of slot 408. Slot 408 width is herewith equal to key 411 width, which prevents the lateral displacement of said key. In Fig. 172-177, yet another device embodiment is shown. In this embodiment, the base formed by box 296 with one open end 237 consists of two parts: lid 229 and pallet 230. Central through slot 224 and two grooves facing each other are formed on lid 229; said grooves are placed on the inner side of lid 229 passing along slot 224 on its two sides (Fig. 175). Grooves 227, 228 facing each other are formed on pallet 230 lying in opposite to grooves 225, 226 and including parts 231 , 232 bended towards lid 229 (Fig. 172, 174) and passing along wall 440 of box 296. Wall 440 is formed by

surfaces 438 and 439 of pallet 230 and lid 229 respectively, as shown in Fig. 172. With pallet 230 and lid 229 connected to each other, parts 231 and 232 are connected to grooves 225, 226 forming a continuous U-shaped guideway.

As shown in Fig. 173, 175, holder 233 is placed in box 296. Notches 239, 246 are formed on the outer side of holder 233 located in plane defined by condom (Fig. 176), the shape of said notches corresponds to the outer shape of grooves 227, 228.

Holder 233 is connected to key 234 by flexible strip 235; ends of said strip are placed in grooves 225, 226 and 227, 228 respectively with displacement possibility. One end of strip 235 is connected to holder 233 in notch 239 by crosspiece 238. The other end of strip 235 is connected to key 234 by part 236 passing through slot 224. As shown in Fig. 172, the holder, the plate and the key are made as whole. However, they may be implemented separately and connected to each other by any known means providing acceptable durability.

As shown in Fig. 175, strip 235 is placed in grooves 227, 228 and 225, 226, enveloping parts 231 , 232. The crosspiece is herewith placed between grooves 227 and 228. Due to the fact, that strip 235 width exceeds width of slot 240 formed by said grooves, the possibility of said strip going out through said slot is excluded.

When unpacking the condom, the user holds the device in one hand in such manner that the open end 296 of the box is facing forward and away from the user, and sets his thumb on key 234. Then the user acts upon the key, displacing it in the direction towards the user. Due to the key being connected to the holder by strip 235, the force applied by the user to the key is transferred to the holder through the strip; this results in holder 233 displacement in a direction opposite to the key displacement direction, and the holder goes out of box 296.

In the suggested devices, expandable holders when unpacking may also be used.

In the device embodiment shown in Fig. 178-182, the base is formed by flat box 295 with one open end, which consists of two parts: pallet 190 and lid 191 , as described above. Lid 191 includes central through slot 192, beginning at one of its sides and ending at the other side.

As shown in Fig. 180-181 , box 295 contains the holder formed by open ring 167 with two flexible crosspieces 168, 169; said ring has mostly C-shaped transverse profile (Fig. 178). Flexible crosspieces 168, 169 serve to increase ring 167 area when unpacking the condom. Support 173 for key 174 is attached to ring 167 on the outer side via crosspiece

172. Pins 175 and 176 with expanded parts 182, 183 are attached to holder ring 167 on both sides of crosspiece 172. The connection of pins 175 and 176 to the holder ring is provided by crosspieces 184 and 185. Flexible crosspieces 168 and 169 are therefore placed between crosspieces 184 and 172, 172 and 185 respectively. Holder ring 167 with condom 1 is received in package 388 provided with weakened lines, as shown in Fig. 179.

Plate 193 provided with two slots 196, 197 is placed under the holder in box 295 (Fig. 179-181), said slots are convergent and pass from one side of the plate not reaching the other side, as shown in Fig. 179. Pins 175, 176 are placed in slots 196, 197.

Plate 193 is fixed in pallet 190 at a distance from its bottom, which allows to place expanded parts 182, 183 between said bottom and plate 193.

In Fig. 179-181 , device assemblage process is shown. Firstly, holder 167 received in package 388 is connected to plate 193 by placing pins 175, 176 in slots 196, 197; the package is therefore glued to said plate. Then the assembly unit comprising the holder and the plate is placed in pallet 190, lid 191 is put on (Fig. B4) and fixed with respect to said pallet if necessary. Further, key 174 is installed on the outer side of lid 191.

The device is operated as follows: The user holds the device in such manner, that the open end 295 of the box is facing forward, away from the user. Then the user acts upon key 174 with his thumb, displacing it with respect to the open end of the box. Pins 175, 176 are therefore displaced in slots 196, 197, the package is torn and the holder with condom 1 goes out. During the last stage of unpacking, pins 175, 176 are displaced along the converging sections of slots 196, 197; therefore ring 167 is expanded due to bending at the spot where crosspieces 168, 169 are located (shown

in Fig. 182). As a result, the holder ring goes out of the box completely. The condom is therefore stretched and ready to be put on.

In yet another embodiment shown in Fig. 183-188, holder 209 includes hollow ring 210 with shaped slot 211 passing along its inner circumference; condom 1 is placed in said ring. Ring 210 includes flexible regions 257, 258, 259 allowing to reduce holder size when it is stored in the package. Support 266 for key 212 is attached to ring 210 via crosspiece 263 at region 259. Pins 267 and 268 provided with expanded parts 381 and 382 are attached to the holder ring on both sides of crosspiece 263 via crosspieces 264 and 265. Crosspieces 264 and 265 include flexible regions 383 and 384.

Holder 209 with condom 1 is received in package 274 and placed in box 269, which consists of two parts: pallet 385 and lid 250; said lid includes central slot 253. Due to the holder having flexible regions, in can be folded and compactly placed in the package. Furthermore, this design of holder 209 allows keeping the condom in unstretched shape.

Plate 247 provided with two parallel slots 272, 273 is placed under the holder 209 in box 269 (Fig. 184); said slots pass from one edge of the plate not reaching the other edge, pins 267, 268 are placed in said slots with displacement possibility. Slots 272, 273 are therefore shorter than slot 253. When unpacking condom 1, the user holds box 269 with one hand and acts upon key 212, displacing holder 209. When pins 267 and 268 reach the end of slots 272 and 273, key 212 keeps on moving (Fig. 187). Crosspieces 264 and 265 are therefore bending, and holder 209 is unfolded, stretching condom 1 as shown in Fig. 188. Holder 279 used in the device shown in Fig. 189-195, as well as the holder shown in Fig. 183-188, includes pins 267 and 268 but doesn't have the support for key. In current embodiment, the device is provided with X-shaped element 276 (Fig. 193), which comprises elongated openings 281 and 282 used for attachment of holder 279 to pins 267, 268; and openings 283 and 284 for placement of key 199. Plate 285 is similar to plate 193 (Fig. 180).

In Fig. 191-194, device assemblage process is shown. Firstly, holder 279 received in package 297 is connected to plate 285 by placing pins 267, 268 in slots 298, 299; the package is therefore glued to said plate. Further, the assembly unit comprising the holder and the plate is placed in pallet 386, while X-shaped element 276 is placed on pins 267, 268 (Fig. 193). Then lid 198 is put on (Fig. 194) and fixed with respect to said pallet if necessary. Further, key 199 is installed on the outer side of lid 198.

When key 199 is displaced, pins 267, 268 are displaced in slots 298, 299 in parallel to each other; passing the convergent regions, pins are shifted towards each other, being displaced in openings 281 and 282 (Fig. 195). When pins 267, 268 reach the ends of slots 298, 299, the holder goes out of the box completely and is unfolded. Condom 1 is therefore ready to be put on and the user can easily put condom 1 on while still holding the box.

In yet another device embodiment shown in Fig. 196-199, holder 300 is formed by flat open ring 301 provided with grips 310; and by key 313 provided with pin 372 and attached to the outer side of ring 301. Holder ring 301 is provided with flexible crosspieces 331 and 332 placed on the inner side of ring 301 on both sides of handle 313; said ring is also provided by slots 333 and 334 used for connection with the base. As shown in Fig. 197, the device base comprises tray 315 formed by plate 378 defined from its three sides by a flange and provided with central slot 337. Two flexible ribbons 338 and 339 are attached to two opposite sides of flange 358 in close vicinity to open end 359; said ribbons are provided with elements 368, 369 used for fixing said ribbons in slots 333 and 334 of holder 300. In Fig. 198-199, the unpacking stages are shown (without the condom installed in the holder). The user holds tray 315 in his hand and acts upon key 313 with the thumb of the same hand, displacing the holder out of the tray through open end 359. Ribbons 338 and 339 (fixed in holder 300) are stretched thus stretching the holder; further displacement of key 313 leads to complete holder unfolding. Yet another embodiment shown in fig. 200-205 can be regarded as the most preferable. In this embodiment holder 442 includes two arcs 443, 444 connected by

hinge 445. Holder 442 is provided with a spring wire 447 which has turns 448 at its middle part embracing hinge 445 axis. Ends of wire 447 are fixed in grooves 449 and 450 formed in arcs 443 and 444.

As shown in Fig. 200, holder 442 with condom 1 held therein is placed in box 451 , which consists of two parts: pallet 452 and lid 453, which is provided with slot 454.

Arcs 443, 444 of holder 442 are provided with flexible crosspieces 455, 456 which allow changing the holder shape; due to this shape change compact placement of the holder in the box is achieved.

Key 457 is placed outside box 451 on pin 458 (which is placed in slot 454) and is connected to the holder by flexible ribbon 459, one end of which is attached to pin 458 and the other end has an opening 460 with axis 461 of hinge joint 445 placed in said opening. The ends of the ribbon may be fixed by any known means which provide sufficient durability.

When displacing key 457, ribbon 459 is stretched and pulls holder 442 forward. In contrast to the above-mentioned embodiments, in which the displacement of the holder to the end of the slot leads to complete extension of the holder, in current embodiment the displacement of the key to the end of slot 454 leads to the transition of the holder into position that allows said holder to go out of the box on its own due to forces applied by the spring and to the interaction of holder arcs with walls 462, 463 on the open end of the box. In Fig. 204 and 205, the relative position of the key and the holder is shown when the key reaches the end of the slot (Fig. 204) and after the holder leaves the package (Fig. 205). This type of connection between the holder and the key provides smooth moving of the holder out of the box.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 206-208, in contrast to the embodiment shown in Fig. 200-205, ribbon 459 is replaced by bracket 464, which is attached to pin 458 and includes an elongated opening 465; axis 461 of hinge joint 445 is placed in said opening with displacement possibility.

Unpacking process shown in Fig. 207, 208, is similar to that shown in Fig. 202, 203. When key 457 reaches the end point, holder 442 is displaced on its own, axis 86 of the hinge joint is displaced in the opening 465. In Fig. 39 and 40, the relative

position of the key and the holder is shown when the key reaches the end of the slot (Fig. 39) and after the holder leaves the package (Fig. 40).

In another embodiment, holder 466 is formed as a flat open ring 467. Handle 468 is attached to the outer edge of ring 467 by crosspiece 469. Axis 470 is placed on crosspiece 469. The holder is provided with spring wire 471 which has turns 472 at its middle part forming a torsional spring; said spring keeps the holder in a state when the space defined by the holder is enlarged. Said turns 472 embrace axis 470, ends 473, 474 of wire 471 are fixed in slot 475 located on both sides of crosspiece 469.

Holder 466 is placed in box 476, which is widening towards open end 477, as shown in Fig. 209-210.

This design of the box (as well as two previous examples shown in Fig. 200-208) provides smooth moving of holder 466 out of box 476, due to elastic forces of spring 472 and due to interaction of holder 466 with walls 478 and 479 of the box at open end 477. Holder 442 used in the device shown in fig. 200-205, can also be received in the unpacking device, in embodiments shown in fig. 178-199. In this case, a spring with lower rigidity is required when unpacking the condom, because part of the force required to stretch the holder and the condom is applied by displacing the key.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 211-212, the base is formed by plate 413 with package 414 with holder and condom held therein attached to said plate.

The device is provided with elastic elements 415 and 416, with L-shaped elements 418 and 419 attached to one of their ends respectively. Said L-shaped elements are fixed in opposing notches 436 and 437 on plate 413 as shown in Fig.

212. The other ends of elements 415 and 416 are connected to each other by crosspiece 420.

The holder is provided with support 412 for key 421 , which has a transversal slot 422 with a crosspiece 420 fixed therein. Support 412 also comprises openings 423 and 424 placed on both sides from slot 422, with key 421 received in said openings.

The device is operated as follows: the user holds the device in his hand in such manner that key 421 is facing the user. The user further acts upon key 421, displacing it in the plane defined by condom, away from the user. Elements 415 and

416 therefore are being bended, as shown in Fig. 213. When passing the midpoint, elements 415 and 416 are being unbended by the elastic forces developed in said elements during bending stage, and the holder is displaced by said elements (Fig. 214). Therefore, the user either does not need to act upon the support, or only needs to apply a small force to the support.

In Fig. 215-217, a variation of this embodiment is shown, according to which the base is formed by flat box 425 with open side 435. Box 425 consists of two parts: pallet 426 and lid 427 (Fig. 216), with notches 428, 429, 430 and 431 respectively formed on the lateral sides of said parts; elements 418 and 419 bulge out of box 425 through said notches. Lugs 432 and 433 are also formed on said pallet; said lugs are placed on both sides from notches 429 and 430 (not shown) with said elements 418 and 419 fixed in said lugs.

The device is operated in a similar way to the one shown in Fig. 211-214. Figures 218-224 represent one of the invention embodiments. According to this embodiment, the suggested device for unpacking a condom comprises a base formed by a flat box 293. Box 293 has one open end 48 consisting of two parts: pallet 49 and lid 50, connected at their lateral sides like parts of a soapbox. Lid 50 of the box has central throughout slot 367, beginning at one of its edges and ending at the other one. Connection of pallet 49 and lid 50 can be secured by bonding or by a detachable mechanical connection. Box 293 can be made of any material having rigidity required to provide safety of its contents and to hold the device in hand; e.g. it can be made of plastic. In other words, box 293 is a container.

As it can be seen from Figs. 218, 222 and 223, box 293 includes tray 53, which has a bottom defined on its four sides with a flange. The flange is thicker on one of the sides of the tray, forming a surface 54. A key 55 having shape and size suitable for acting upon it with a digit is mounted on surface 54. Key 55 is connected to surface 54 by a crosspiece 56 passed through the slot 367, so that key 55 is over the lid 50 of the box. Surface 54 of tray 53, crosspiece 56 and key 55 can be integrally formed or made of several parts rigidly connected to each other. Surface 54 also has lugs 57 corresponding with the height of crosspiece 56. Lugs 57 key upon the lower surface of lid 50, pressing it to the lower surface of key 55, and therefore create

friction between the upper surface of box 293 and the lower surface of key 55, excluding the possibility of accidental displacement of box 293 with respect to tray 53.

Holder 59 placed in tray 53 includes a hollow ring 64 with a shaped slot 65 passing along the inner circumference of the tray with condom 1 (e.g. the traditional condom described above) placed within. The larger part of condom 1 is rolled into a ring and placed into a pocket of ring 64, excluding the end of condom 1 which covers an opening of ring 64. The plane passing through the equator of the ring in which the condom is rolled, is referred to as the plane defined by the condom. Crosspiece 66 with handle 73 attached to it is connected to ring 64 of holder 59 at the outer edge. In this embodiment, ring 64 of holder 59 is open, due to having a gap 74 located in opposite to crosspiece 66.

In this embodiment, holder 59 with condom 1 is placed in tray 53 in such manner, that its handle 73 is facing key 55, although another arrangement of holder and handle inside the tray is possible. Sheet 75 is attached on the edge of tray 53, the holder 59 with condom 1 is thus placed in tray 53 under sheet 75, as shown in Fig. 222. Therefore, sheet 75 with tray 53 form the skin in which holder 59 with condom 1 are received.

Sheet 75 can be provided with weakened lines, along which it can be easily torn. As shown in Figs. 221-222, one weakened line 76 passes along the whole perimeter of the sheet, while the other line 79 passes along the sheet in parallel to slot 367 and is connected to line 76 on the opposite edges of the film.

Sheet 17 is attached to the lower surface of lid 6, e.g. it can be glued.

Figs. 220-222 show the device assemblage process. Firstly, holder 59 is placed in tray 53 of box 293 (Fig. 220), arranging handle 73 of the holder on the side of box 293, on which key 55 is located; tray 53 is then glued to film 75 (Fig. 222). Then tray 53 is placed in pallet 49, which is further covered by lid 50 (Fig. 222), placing crosspiece 56 in slot 367. Lid 50 is fixed with respect to pallet if necessary. The assembled device is shown in Fig. 219.

The device is operated as follows: the user takes the device in hand with the open end 48 of box 293 facing forward, away from the user, and puts his digit on key

55. The user holds the device for its base with other digits. Then he presses his

thumb to the key in order to provide necessary friction between the digit and the key and to prevent the sliding of the digit from the key, the user further applies some force to the key, sufficient to exceed the friction formed between the upper surface of box 293 and the lower surface of key 55, in order to displace the key along slot 367 in the plane defined by condom, while still pressing the key with his thumb.

Crosspiece 56 is displaced in slot 367 used as guideway; surface 54 of tray 53 and the lower surface of the key are displaced on top and on bottom of lid 50 correspondingly.

With key 55 displaced to the end of slot 367, tray 53 goes out of box 293 completely (see Fig. 223). Sheet 75 is therefore torn along the weakened lines, and its larger part is separated from tray 53 (Fig. 223). Tray 53 is placed on a horizontal surface (not shown), and holder 59 is removed from tray 53, holding it for handle 73 (Fig. 224) with the same hand. Condom 1 is therefore ready to be put on.

Thus, only one hand and one simple motion of the thumb is required to unpack condom 1. This results in easy and quick unpacking. The holder is also adapted for holding it in one hand; therefore all actions related to the condom can be performed with one hand. Tray 59 is manually displaced by a digit, therefore the force required to open the skin (in this case, to tear sheet 75) can be adjusted depending on the skin strength. This results in reliable unpacking. Hence, the process of unpacking condom 1 only slightly distracts the user's attention from sexual intercourse. Proportions of the parts in the embodiment described above and shown in the Figures makes it most convenient for the user to use his thumb to displace key 55 facing. Alternatively, the user may displace key 55 with any other digit if necessary.

In another embodiment shown in Figs. 225-230, ring 64 of holder 59 with condom 1 are received in a package 80, similar to the package used with traditional condom, as shown in Fig. 227. Package 80 is preferably made of polymer film. At the spot where crosspiece 56 extends out of the ring and package 80, the edges of package 80 are not connected, embracing crosspiece 56.

In this embodiment, tray 86 has a bottom defined on all four sides with a flange, and, in contrast to embodiment shown in Figs. 218-224, does not have a surface for key 87 placement.

Key 87 is directly connected to ring 64 of holder 59. For this purpose, key support 88 is placed on the end of crosspiece 56. The support is a plate connected to key 87 via pin 89, which provides placement of key 87 above lid 50 of the box.

Ring 64 of holder 59, crosspiece 56, support 88, pin 89 and key 87 can be integrally formed or made of several parts, rigidly connected to each other.

Package 80 can be provided with weakened lines, along which it can be easily torn. Said lines can be implemented by making the package of two-layer film. One of these layers can be thin, solid, and impenetrable, and the other one can be more strong, and provided with weakened lines, along which the package is torn. The preferable arrangement of weakened lines in shown in Fig. 171 ; one weakened line 94 passes along the whole perimeter of the package, while the other line 95 passes along the package in parallel to slot 367 and is connected to line 94 on the opposite edges of the package.

Package 80 is bonded, e.g. glued to tray 86 on one side, and to lid 50 of box 293 on the other side.

Figs. 227-228 show the device assemblage process. Firstly, holder 59 packed in package 80 is placed in tray 86 and the package is glued to the bottom of tray. Further, tray 86 with package 80 is placed in pallet 49, which is further covered by lid 50 (Fig. 228), placing pin 89 in slot 367; package 80 is then glued to the lower surface of the lid. Lid 50 is further fixed with respect to the pallet if necessary. The assembled device is shown in Fig. 226.

The device is operated as follows: the user takes the device in his hand with the open end 48 of box 293 facing forward, away from the user, and puts his digit on key

87. The user holds the device for its base with other digits. Then he applies some force to the key 87, displacing tray 86 with respect to box 293. Crosspiece 56 is therefore displaced in slot 367, package 80 is torn, and its lower part glued to tray 86 is displaced along with the tray and the holder, and its upper part stays on the lower surface of lid 50. Tray 86 is displaced to a position shown in Fig. 229, then the tray is placed on a horizontal surface and the holder is removed by holding it for handle 73 (Fig. 229) with the same hand that held box 293. Condom 1 is therefore ready to be put on, and the user can easily put condom 1 on holding it for handle 73.

In the embodiment shown in Figs. 231-235, holder 59 with handle 73 is fully enclosed in package 80, which is placed in tray 86 and is attached to it at one of its sides. The other side of the package is attached to lid 50. Tray 86 and box 293 are implemented in a similar way to the embodiment shown in Figs. 218-224. Figs. 234-235 show the process of unpacking a condom similar to the one shown in Figs. 229-230.

Therefore, as in previous examples, only one hand is required to unpack the condom using the simple motion of the thumb. Hence the holder is also adapted for holding it in one hand, all actions related to the condom can be performed with one hand.

In yet another embodiment, shown in Figs. 236-242, the base is also formed by a flat box 294. Box 294 has one open end 109 consisting of two parts: pallet 118 and lid 119, connected at their lateral sides like parts of a soapbox. Lid 119 of the box has central throughout slot 121 , beginning at one of its edges and ending at the other one. As shown in Figs. 237-239, holder 59 with condom 1 is placed in tray 126 enclosed in box 294. Tray 126 includes the bottom defined on its three sides by a flange. On the side of the tray opposite to its open side, the flange is thicker, thus forming surface 127. Key support 128 in shape of a rectangular lug is formed on surface 127, with its width equal to the width of slot 121. As shown in Fig. 239, support 128 extends out through slot 121. Said slot and end 109 of the box are glued with film 129, e.g. scotch tape. Key 130 is attached, e.g. glued, to lug 128 over the film.

In this embodiment, box 294 with film 129 forms the condom skin. Unpacking condom 1 (as shown in Figs. 241-242), the user displaces key 130 in slot 121 with his thumb. The film at end 109 is torn by the open end of tray 126, and tray 126 goes out of box 294. Holder 59 with condom 1 is further removed from tray 126 by holding it for handle 73. Condom 1 is therefore ready to be put on, and the user can easily put condom 1 on still holding it for handle 73.

The mentioned examples reviewed the condom holder formed by an open hollow ring provided with a shaped slot extending along its inner circumference.

However, this invention may comprise other condom holders, e.g. the holders shown in Figs. 243-245.

As shown in Fig. 243, the holder can be a flat open ring formed by rod 131 and two C-shaped frameworks 132 and 133 provided with inwards-facing grippers 134 used for condom holding.

The holder shown in Fig. 244 is further provided with levers, with their larger arms formed by frameworks 132 and 133, while the pivots 135 and 136 of said levers are placed on the ends of rod 131.

Gap 137 is formed between the ends of frameworks 132 and 133. While pressing the smaller arms 138 and 141 of the levers, gap 137 is enlarged, thus stretching the condom and expanding the inner surface of holder ring. This leads to reduction of the friction between the holder and the sensitive skin when putting the condom on, making the process of putting on a condom more comfortable. Further, the widening the inner surface of the condom allows to easily put the condom on by touch and in low-light conditions.

In another embodiment, as shown in Fig. 245, holder 142 can be U-shaped, and the condom is attached to it by ribbons 143, one side of which is attached to the holder, and the other one is rolled into the condom.

Furthermore, condoms rolled in opposite to the traditional direction can be used, as well as condoms rolled in any other way, condoms of shortened length (microcondoms), and holders thereof.

Generally condom is flat while rolled, thus its linear size at least along one direction is much smaller than the linear size along the directions perpendicular to this direction. It should be noted that the rolled condom haves some finite thickness and its shape is not completely flat. To determine the plane defined by the condom one should find the direction in which its linear size is minimal, the plane perpendicular to this direction is the plane defined by the condom

It is obvious that there are many different invention embodiments other than those described above exist in the scope of appended claim. In Fig. 246-251 , one of the invention embodiments is shown. In this embodiment, the suggested device for unpacking a condom comprises the base formed by flat box

480. Box 480 has one open end 481 and two openings 482 and 483. The box includes two parts: pallet 484 and lid 485, connected on its lateral sides like the parts of a soapbox, as shown in Fig. 250. The connection of pallet 484 and lid 485 can be fixed by adhesive or e.g. by detachable mechanical connection. The box itself can be made of any material haveing sufficient rigidity to provide the integrity of the contents and the possibility of holding it in hand, e.g. it can be made of plastic. In other words, box 1 is a container.

As shown in Fig. 246, 248-251 , box 480 includes plate 486 in the shape of pallet 484, and holder 487 placed on said plate and received in the package 488. The plate has a lengthwise slot 489 and two eye ends 490 and 491 placed on the edges of the plate symmetrically with respect to slot 489. Holder 487 includes hollow ring 492 with shaped slot 493 passing along its inner circumference; condom 1 (e.g. the traditionally used condom) is placed in said slot (see Fig. 247). The most part of condom 1 is rolled into a ring and placed in the ring pocket of ring 492. The plane passing through the equator of the condom folded into ring, is herein referred to as the plane defined by condom.

Support 494 for levers 495 and 496 is attached to the outer edge of the ring; said support is connected to ring 492 by crosspiece 497. The support is also provided with cross slide 498, placed in slot 489 with displacement possibility. As shown in Fig. 247-248, levers 495, 496 are L-shaped. Arms 499, 500 of levers 495, 496 are provided with flexible crosspieces 501 , 502 which are attached to support 494, while arms 503, 504 are provided with buttons 505, 506 having support areas with ribbed structure; this structure improves the friction between the digits and buttons 505, 506. Openings (not shown) for a pivotal connection with eye ends 490 and 491 of plate 486 by axis (not shown), are placed at the pivots 507, 508 located in the angle area of L-shaped levers.

Ring 492 of holder 487 with condom 1 are received in a skin formed by package 488, similar to the package of traditional condom; said package is made of one sheet 509 connected on its edges as shown in Fig. 248. Sheet 509 is preferably made of polymer film. In the area where crosspiece 497 extends out of ring 492 and package 488, sheet edges remain unconnected, embracing crosspiece 497. To provide

tightness, the connection between package 488 and crosspiece 497 can be sealed by glue or a sealant (not shown in the drawings).

Package 488 is attached to plate 486 by adhesive, e.g. it can be glued. Connection points (not shown) of package 488 to plate 486 are preferably placed on the edge of package 488 from which crosspiece 497 extends out, on both sides of said crosspiece. The package however can be attached to longer areas, e.g. along this whole edge. Package 488 can also be attached to lid 485 of box 480 in similar way.

In Fig. 248-250, device assemblage process is shown. Firstly, holder 8 received in package 488 is connected to plate 486, placing cross slide 498 in slot 489 (Fig. 248). Levers 495 and 496 are connected to plate 486 by inserting the said axes into eye ends 490 and 491 , and openings (not shown) are placed at the pivots 507, 508. Then plate 486 with package 488 attached to it is placed in pallet 484, lid 486 is put on as shown in Fig. 249-250, and fixed with respect to said pallet if necessary. Buttons 505, 506 are thus placed outside box 480 in openings 482 and 483.

The device is operated as follows: the user takes the device in his hand, holding it for buttons 505 and 506 with two digits. Then he acts upon buttons 505 and 506, moving levers 495 and 496 which displace the holder with respect to open end 481 of box 480. Due to cross slide 498 and holder ring 492 being integrally formed, package 488 attached to plate 486 (as mentioned above) prevents the displacement of cross slide. Therefore, when the displacement of cross slide 498 affected by levers 495 and 496 begins, the front edge of holder 487 thrusts against the front edge of package 488. When cross slide 498 is displaced further, package 488 is torn on the frond edge, and holder 8 with condom 13 held therein moves out of package 488 and box 480 through the open end of box 481. The package is torn on the other edge being affected by support 494. Due to the sum of lengths of arms 499, 500 and crosspieces 501 , 502 being larger than box 480 width, and also due to flexibility of crosspieces 501, 502, the holder is provided with additional acceleration after the lever passes the midpoint. When cross slide 498 is displaced to the end of slot 489, holder 487 goes out of box 480 completely (see Fig. 251) the condom is therefore ready to be put on and the

user can easily put condom 1 on while still holding the device for buttons 505 and 506 with two digits.

Thus, only one simple motion of two digits of the same hand (bringing them together) is required to unpack condom 1. This results in easy and convenient unpacking, and the user's attention is only slightly distracted from sexual intercourse. In another embodiment shown in Fig. 252-256, openings 482 and 483 are closed by crosspieces 510 and 511, which are flexible. Crosspieces 510 and 511 are provided with support areas 512 and 513 having ribbed structure which improves the friction between digits and said areas. Surfaces 514, 515 of levers 495, 496 are placed directly under support areas 512 and 513.

Surfaces 516 and 517 of box 1 are provided with notches 518, 519 and 520, 521 placed in the area of openings 482 and 483; shape and size of said notches is selected to allow moving the levers into position which provides condom unpacking, by pressing the support areas, as shown in Fig. 256. The device is operated as follows: the user takes the device in his hand, holding it for crosspieces 510 and 511 with two digits. Then he acts upon the support areas 512 and 513, displacing crosspieces 510 and 511 towards each other by deforming said crosspieces; the levers 495 and 496 are therefore actuated, displacing the holder towards open end 481 of box 480. Crosspieces 510 and 511 therefore take the shape of notches 518, 519 and 520, 521.

In Fig. 257-264, yet another device embodiment is shown. As shown in Fig. 258, 261-262, levers 495 and 496 are detachable. Arms 522, 523 of levers 495, 496 are connected to support 494 with displacement possibility on one end, and on the other end said arms are provided with round knobs 524, 525 connected pivotally to eye ends 490, 491 by an axis (not shown).

Arms 526, 527 of levers 495, 496 are formed by ribbons made of flexible material (see Fig. 261) and are provided with buttons 528 and 529 on one end and with expanded parts 530, 531 used for connection with arms 522, 523 on the other end. Arms 522, 523 are provided with slots 532, 533 placed at the point of connection of knobs 524, 525 with arms 522, 523; said slots have shape and size allowing to fix expanded parts 530, 531 in said slots.

In this embodiment, openings 482 and 483 are formed on the corners of box 480 adjacent to end 534, as shown in Fig. 257. Sides 535 and 536 of pallet 484 and lid

485 respectively are implemented with quadrangular notches 537, 538 and 539, 540 in the area of openings 482, 483 (Fig. 260, 262). Buttons 528 and 529 are placed outside box 480 in said notches and are provided with slots 541, 542 and 543, 544; said slots are in mechanical engagement with lugs 545, 546 and 547, 548; said lugs are formed on the edge of openings 482 and 483, as shown in Fig. 262, 263. Lugs 545, 546 and 547, 548 serve as guideway for buttons 528 and 529. Pallet 484 of box 480 is provided with L-shaped lugs 549, 550 (Fig. 261), which are placed on the inner side of the box in close vicinity to openings 482 and 483; arms 526, 527 of levers 495, 496 are placed in said lugs with displacement possibility. In this embodiment, box 480 is provided with slots 551 and 552, knobs 524, 525 bulge out of said slots partially. Due to slots 551 , 552 width of the box is reduced. Device assemblage process shown in Fig. 259-262 is similar to the assemblage process shown in Fig. 248-250.

The device is operated as follows: the user takes the device in his hand, holding it for buttons 528 and 529. Then he acts upon the buttons, displacing them towards each other. Arms 527 and 527 of the levers are therefore displaced, which results in knobs 524 and 525 being rotated, and consequently, arms 522, 523 are turned, displacing the holder towards the open end of box 480. Unpacked condom is shown in Fig. 264.

The condom unpacking device can be implemented with one lever, as shown in

Fig. 265-270. In contrast to the embodiment shown in Fig. 246-251 , in this embodiment box

553 is implemented with an open end 554 and one opening 555, which is similar to opening 482 shown in Fig. 246.

Plate 556 received in box 553 with the holder installed thereon, is provided with only one eye end (Fig. 267), which is similar to eye end 490 shown in Fig. 248. As shown in Fig. 266, representing holder 487 with condom 1 separated from box 480, only one lever 558 (also L-shaped) is attached to support 494.

Device assemblage process shown in Fig. 267-269 is similar to the assemblage process shown in Fig. 248-250.

In this embodiment, when unpacking the condom, the user holds box 480 in one hand, acting upon the lever with a digit of the same hand. Thus, similarly to the device embodiments with two levers, the user is required to perform only one action - to press the lever using one hand. Therefore, easy and convenient unpacking is also achieved in this embodiment, and the user's attention is only slightly distracted from sexual intercourse.

Device shown in Fig. 271-276 comprises skin 559 with holder 560 formed as a plate with triangular shape, and frame 561 tightly embracing the plate of holder 560 on its perimeter; said holder and frame are received in the skin.

Opening 562 is formed in the middle part of holder 560 (see Fig. 272), the edge of said opening is bended forming ring 563 with C-shaped profile. The holder is provided with flexible crosspieces 564 and 565 (see Fig. 188). Holder 61 is open, because it includes gap 566. Due to holder 560 being open and also due to crosspieces 564 and 565, the holder can be removed in transverse direction after the condom is put on.

Frame 561 has sectional U-shape, as shown in Fig. 274, and is provided with gap 567 and two flexible crosspieces 568 and 569. During the installation of holder 560 into frame 561 , as shown in Fig. 274, plate of holder 560 thrusts by its edges against frame surface 570 and is additionally s by frame surface 571 due to force of friction. Crosspieces 568 and 569 of the frame are opposite to crosspieces 564 and 565 of the holder. Frame 561 with holder received therein is shown in Fig. 273. As shown in Fig. 271 , skin 559 is provided with weakened line 272 located at the spot where holder 560 goes out of the package when unpacking.

The device is operated as follows: the user takes the device with two digits of a hand and presses two sides of frame 561 through package 559. Due to the outer surface of the frame being smooth, said frame is shifted with respect to package 559, tears it and goes out as shown in Fig. 275.

As shown in Fig. 276, force vector of the digit acting upon the support has two constituents. Constituent 573 of said vector is directed along the displacement direction of frame 561 , while constituent 574 is directed perpendicularly to the displacement direction of the frame. Due to constituent 573, the displacement of the frame is performed; due to constituent 574, the mechanical interaction between the skin and the frame is formed; it results in shifting of the frame with respect to the skin..

In the assembly described above, a somewhat different shape of holder 560 and frame 561 can be implemented, as shown in Fig. 277-279. In this embodiment, only part 575 of frame 561 periphery has a wedge-like shape.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 271-276, the device can be provided with keys 576 and 577 connected to frame 561 with shifting possibility with respect to said frame, as shown in Fig. 280-281.

When unpacking the condom, the user acts upon keys 576 and 577 through skin 559, as shown in Fig. 281. The force applied by the digits is thus directed in such manner that the keys are shifted with respect to frame 561 , displacing it with respect to skin 559. As a result, the skin is torn and holder 560 with condom 1 goes out. Keys

576, 577 can be connected to skin 559, or implemented separately.

The device can also be provided with V-shaped bracket 578, as shown in Fig. 282-283. Bracket 578 has U-shaped transverse section and is provided with support areas 579, 580 having ribbed structure. In order to unpack the condom, the user acts upon support areas 579, 580 of the bracket through skin 559. Bracket 578 is therefore shifted with respect to frame 561 , which tears skin 559 and goes out of it.

The holder can also be kept in the sprung state, unfold when pressed out of the skin (not shown in Figures). In other words, in storage state the skin keeps the holder in compact form.

Furthermore, in embodiments described above, condom holder formed as a hollow open ring with shaped slot was observed. As it is clear from "background art" section, there are a lot of variations of condom holders currently known. Each of said holders can be used in the condom unpacking device of the invention. In the scope of

the invention, it is possible to use some new holder, not known from the prior art. Condom holder itself is not in the scope of this invention.

Furthermore, the condom holder shown e.g. in Fig. 243 can be used with this invention; said holder is formed as a flat open ring including rod 131 and two semicircular frames 132 and 133 provided with grips 134 extending into the ring and used to hold the condom.

Condoms rolled in an opposite direction to that traditionally used for rolling a condom or folded in any other way, as well as shortened condoms known as micro- condoms. Other means of holding the edge of a rolled condom can be used, e.g. the condom ring can be held by a pair of rollers. In case of micro-condoms, the edge of a rolled condom can be attached to their holder by an adhesive.

Generally condom is flat while folded, thus its linear size at least along one direction is much smaller than the linear size along the directions perpendicular to this direction. It should be noted that the folded condom haves some finite thickness and its shape is not completely flat. To determine the plane defined by the condom one should find the direction in which its linear size is minimal, the plane perpendicular to this direction is the plane defined by the condom.
