Abstract:
In the present invention, a marker attached to an object is used to assist in an operation performed by an operator. Provided is a method comprising: a step in which the position and orientation, in a prescribed coordinate system, of an object marker attached to an object are acquired from an image in which the object marker is captured; a step in which the position, in the prescribed coordinate system, of a detection point of the object from the object marker in a marker coordinate system, and the orientation of the object, are calculated on the basis of the coordinates of the detection point and the position and orientation of the object marker; and a step in which an assessment is made as to whether the position of the detection point is within a prescribed position range in the prescribed coordinate system and whether the orientation of the object is within a prescribed orientation range in the prescribed coordinate system.
