Abstract:
Provided as a technology for enabling simple and accurate diagnosis of human T-cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1) associated diseases is a method for diagnosing HTLV-1 associated diseases, the method comprising: a step for measuring, in a blood sample collected from a subject, the amount of a marker protein which is one or more selected from proteins shown in tables 1 and 2; and a step for, when the value of said measurement is not less than or not more than a predetermined reference value, determining that the subject is affected by a HTLV-1 associated disease or that remission of a HTLV-1 associated disease has occurred in the subject.
