Abstract:
The invention relates to a means of diagnosing the operational stability of a device with a corona counter for measuring neutron fluxes in the presence of intense gamma radiation. Prior to measurement, the corona counter is placed outside the zone of a measurement object, and the current of the corona counter during operation thereof in corona discharge mode, the current of the corona counter during operation thereof in ionization chamber mode, and the pulse count rate of the corona counter during operation thereof in corona discharge mode with a pulse discrimination threshold of zero are recorded at various levels of absorbed dose rate of gamma radiation.
