Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for directly producing titanium and a titanium alloy by using high titanium slag. The method relates to enabling direct chemical reaction at a high temperature between a single active metal having chemical activity greater than titanium or a mixture formed by multiple active metals or an alloy formed by multiple active metals and high titanium slag, the temperature indicating a temperature at which at least one of the single active metal or the mixture formed by multiple active metals or the alloy formed by multiple active metals and the high titanium slag in a reaction system can be melted. In the present invention, titanium and a titanium alloy are directly produced from high titanium slag, and a process for preparing titanium dioxide from high titanium slag is omitted, so that not only a production process is obviously simplified and energy consumption is saved, but also the reaction process is clean, environment-friendly, and free of pollution issues, thereby having a significant value in industrial production of low-cost, clean, and environment-friendly titanium and titanium alloy.
