Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for discovering a biomarker for diagnosing fatty liver disease and, more specifically, to a method for discovering a biomarker for diagnosing fatty liver disease, comprising: a first step of selecting a correlated miRNA and pathway combination (hereinafter, referred to as miRNA-pathway); a second step of selecting a miRNA-pathway target specific to fatty liver disease through integrated analysis of the miRNA-pathway selected in the first step and gene expression data (RNA-seq) of fatty liver disease; and a third step of deriving a miRNA-pathway regulatory network that directly regulates fatty liver disease genes from the target selected in the second step. A miRNA regulatory network that is statistically significant in liver disease can be constructed through integrated analysis of database information, and from this, a miRNA target specific to fatty liver disease can be selected and used as a diagnostic marker or therapeutic composition for fatty liver disease.
