Abstract:
A method of dyeing fiber, comprising the drying step (100) of drying a natural material at temperature set so as to fall within the range in which pigment components thereof substantially would not suffer deterioration to an absolute dry state or a state close thereto; the pulverization step (200) of micropulverizing the dry natural material obtained by the drying step (100) while avoiding any temperature increase thereof over the above set temperature range until at least a particle size passing through sieve standard 80-mesh, or less is attained; and the dyeing step (300) of mixing the microparticulate natural material obtained in the pulverization step (200) into a liquid, dispersing the same, immersing fiber in the liquid having the microparticulate natural material suspended therein and causing the microparticulate natural material suspended in the liquid to physically adhere to the fiber so that the color of the natural material per se is fixed onto the fiber. By this method, the color of the natural material can be fixed fast to the fiber. Further, there are provided a fiber dyed, a dye and a drier for use in dye production.
