Title:
METHOD FOR EARLY DIAGNOSING ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, DISTINGUISHING STAGES OF ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, AND DETERMINING ACCUMULATION OF AMYLOID BETA IN BRAIN, USING PHOSPHORYLATED PEPTIDE DERIVED FROM ALZHEIMER DEMENTIA-RELATED PROTEIN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/005592
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease using phosphorylated peptides and, specifically, to a method for early diagnosing Alzheimer's disease or for distinguishing stages of Alzheimer's disease and a method for determining the accumulation of amyloid beta in the brain, each method including measuring phosphorylation levels of Alzheimer's dementia-related proteins in biological samples. The method for the quantitation of phosphorylated peptides derived from Alzheimer's dementia-related proteins according to the present invention allows for effective early diagnosis or stage distinguishment of Alzheimer's disease and makes it possible to determine the accumulation of amyloid beta in the brain.
