The embodiments of the present application provide a method and electronic device for adjusting VR playback video progress, said method comprising: upon determining that a first video is in a state of playback in VR, determining a first position, in the progress bar of said first video, of the current position of a focal point in VR at the current moment; adjusting the playback of the first video on the basis of said first position; thus the current situation in the prior art in which it is impossible to adjust the progress of VR video playback when said video is being played back is changed, and the technical effect of adjusting VR video playback progress while VR video playback is happening is achieved.
