Abstract:
A method and an electronic device (100) for guiding users to register fingerprints. The method is applied to the electronic device (100) with a display screen (120) and at least one fingerprint sensor chip, wherein a fingerprint acquisition area (130) of the at least one fingerprint sensor chip is located in the display area (102) of the display screen (120). The method comprises: according to a first fingerprint collection area (131) where a first sensor chip of the at least one sensor chip is located, displaying a first image (160) in a display area (102) of the display screen (120) (S210), wherein the first image (160) is used for indicating the pressing position of a user during fingerprint registration; and changing the position of the first image (160) according to the first fingerprint collection area (131), so that the first fingerprint sensor chip acquires fingerprint information of different positions of the finger of the user (S220). A user is guided to press on different positions of a fingerprint acquisition area (130) by means of changing the display position of the first image (160), so that the fingerprint registration speed can be effectively increased, and the user experience is improved.
