Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for increasing a content of astaxanthin in microalgae through ultrasonic stimulation. The method according to the present invention can effectively increase the content of astaxanthin in microalgae through ultrasonication during microalgal cultivation and thus can be advantageously used for producing the high value-added substance astaxanthin.
