Abstract:
A method of and equipment for manufacturing a diaphragm (3) from a fabric-filled sheet (material) (10). The fabric-filled sheet (1) which is produced by an extrusion molding machine (4) such as to have a width corresponding to the diameter of the diaphragm (3) is continuously fed at a predetermined pitch to a press curing apparatus (6) and a cutting-off apparatus (8), thereby allowing the diaphragm-forming operation to be automated. Thus, it is possible to greatly reduce the number of required manufacturing steps, to improve the material yield and to reduce the size of the equipment and the amount of required power.
