Abstract:
A method and equipment for restricting a data packet when being transited are
involved by the embodiment in the invention. The method including: receiving
the data packet containing the information of the restricted number of hops;
a predetermined operation being implemented to the data packet when the data
packet is not coincident with the restriction condition of the number of hops.
The equipment in the embodiment includes: data packet receiving module, receiving
the data packet containing the information of the restricted number of hops;
data packet processing module, a predetermined operation being implemented
to the data packet when the data packet is not coincident with the restriction
condition of the number of hops. The embodiment in the invention implements the
restriction of the number of hops to the received data packet according to the
specific case of the network, reduces greatly the redundant amount of data in
the network, and improves the using efficiency in the network.
