Description:
Method for erecting a wall in a framework building and such a wall The present invention is related to a method for erecting a wall in a frame work building.

Framework buildings are erected in different ways, such as by premanufacturing elements having frame work structures, transporting the elements to the construction site and erecting the elements by connecting them.

Transportation of elements is rather expensive as a large percentage of the volume transported is air within the elements. The work pieces such as wall studs, sills, plates etc. occupy only a minor part of the volume of an element.

On the other hand framework buildings are erected from the ground by transporting materials needed, cutting the different material to fit and erecting the framework building by hand directly on the construction site. In this case the transportation as such is rather inexpensive, whereas the use of manpower to cut and connect all materials on site, is time-consuming and there expensive.

With the method according to the present invention a possibility is provided to profit by low cost transportation to the construction site and short and effective erection of the framework and therefore use of a low amount of labour hours on site.

The above mentioned advantages by the present invention are achieved with the method according to the present invention as defined by the features stated in the patent claims.

The drawing discloses in figure 1 schematically the different parts constituting a frame work wall and figure 2 discloses securement of a stud to a sill.

According to the present invention, all or substantially all parts of the building structure are prefabricated and prepared to fit into each other as all parts are manufactured according to dimensions given in the drawing.

As figure 1 discloses, a lower sill 1 is produced as a profile having an upper 9 and a lower 7 groove in the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, the front edge is provided with a nose profile 8 extending upwardly and in the transversal direction part of the sill 1 is provided with a dovetail slot 11 corresponding with a dovetail key on the lower end of each wall stud 3. Correspondingly, the upper sill 2 comprises a transversal dovetail slot 11 and the upper end of each wall stud 3 also is provided with a dovetail key 12.

The erection of a wall according to the invention starts with guiding the wall studs 3 into the dovetail slot 11 in the lower sill 1 and securing them in place. Thereafter the upper sill 2 is guided onto the dovetail key 12 on top of the wall stud 3 and thereafter

secured. A fire panel plate 4, such as an asphalted cardboard or a plaster board is guided into the upper slot 9 in the lower sill 1 and the lower slot 7 in the upper sill 2.

A transversal slot 10 on a wind board 5 of an outer panel is hooked onto the nose profile 8 of the upper and/or lower sills 1 and 2 and secured to the sills. To finish the erection of the wall an outer panel 6 is secured next to the wind panel 5 and also hooking the nose profile 8 of the sill into a corresponding transversal slot 10 in the outer panel 6.

According to the invention all parts are manufactured as single parts in correct dimensions and including all groves. The transportation to the construction site is substantially without unnecessary air volume, very compact as the single parts are stacked as compact as possible. The single parts are then assembled by unskilled persons without the need for skilled builders or carpenters.
