Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for evaluating the risk of stomach cancer onset. Specifically, the present invention is a method for evaluating the risk of stomach cancer onset, wherein the risk of stomach cancer onset for a test subject is determined to be high when bacteria belonging to the Fusobacterium genus or bacteria belonging to the Neisseria genus are detected in a specimen derived from said test subject. Furthermore, the present invention provides a kit for evaluating the risk of stomach cancer onset, said kit including a means for detecting bacteria belonging to the Fusobacterium genus or bacteria belonging to the Neisseria genus.
