Abstract:
A method for expanding a dynamic range of an image and an electronic device, which relates to the field of image processing, and can expand the dynamic range of the image. The method comprises: acquiring original image information, the original image information comprising an original image and brightness level information; acquiring, on the basis of the brightness level information comprised in the original image information and a brightness threshold, a threshold segmentation result corresponding to the original image, the threshold segmentation result comprising a region category mark corresponding to each pixel point in the original image, the region category mark being used for indicating the category of a region corresponding to each pixel point in the original image, the regions comprising a standard dynamic range region and an expansion dynamic range region, a brightness value corresponding to a pixel point in the standard dynamic range region being lower than the brightness threshold, and a brightness value corresponding to a pixel point in the expansion dynamic range region being higher than or equal to the brightness threshold; and performing dynamic range expansion on the expansion dynamic range region in the original image according to the threshold segmentation result corresponding to the original image so as to obtain an expansion dynamic range image corresponding to the original image.
