Abstract:
A method for extracting active lignin from a woody biomass and using the lignin as a wood adhesive. A modifier is added in a lignin extraction process, so that extracted lignin has self-crosslinking performance during hot pressing to be used as an adhesive. After the lignin is modified, by using the characteristic that lignin is insoluble in water, the remaining modifier in a solvent is removed by using steps such as distillation and water separation, thereby avoiding release of free modifiers such as formaldehyde in a cross-linking process of the lignin. According to the method, a natural adhesive can be directly used to replace an adhesive of a petrochemical source, such as phenolic resin and urea-formaldehyde resin, the problem that it is difficult to use lignin in a high value-added manner in biorefinery industry is solved, the development of biomass chemical industry can be effectively promoted, and a brand-new green environmentally-friendly adhesive is provided.
