Abstract:
In the present invention, in a case in which the right hand of a wearer is contractured and the left hand is healthy, an imaging device captures an image of the state when the joints of the fingers of the left hand are extended, and generates a duplicate image of the right hand with the joints thereof extended. A fabricator refers to the duplicate image and molds silicone clay to create a plastically deformable object having the shape of the duplicate image. The fabricator then refers to the duplicate image to prepare transmission members suited to the shape of connection portions connected to the joints of each of the five fingers. The fabricator then attaches the prepared members to the object. Then, the object is heat-treated, and a flexible mounting part (110) is fabricated. When the mounting part (110) is thus fabricated, the fabricator connects a bellows to the transmission members attached to the mounting part (110). An easily mounted joint movement assistance device can therefore easily be fabricated while having the optimum shape for each individual user.
