Abstract:
Provided are a method and a facility for manufacturing a molded article of foamed resin, whereby a secondary material, at least part of which comprises a synthetic resin, can easily be arranged so as to extend along a curved inner surface of a mold, and removal from the mold after molding is also easy. A track-shaped rail (10) is laid out on the floor of a factory, and a cart (11) is set up so as to be able to move along the rail (10). A secondary-material heating device (14) is provided on the cart (11). Said device holds a mold (12) for foam molding and also holds a secondary material (13) made from a synthetic resin. The secondary-material heating device heats the secondary material (13) to a temperature greater than or equal to the temperature at which the flexural strength and flexural modulus of the synthetic resin fall to or below prescribed values. In a secondary-material assembly zone, the secondary material (13) is removed from the secondary-material heating device (14), said secondary material (13) is placed in a secondary-material planned placement region (12b) in a cavity (12a), and a latch is latched to. Foam molding is then performed.
