Abstract:
A method for flushing buffered data of Serving Gateway (GW) is disclosed. Serving
GW buffers downlink data sent to user and sends Downlink Data Notification to
Mobility Management Entity (MME), after receiving the notification, MME pages
said user and sets a paging timer, if MME does not receive paging response of said
user when the paging timer expires, sends notification message to Serving GW
to inform the Serving GW no paging response; after receiving said message, Serving
GW flushes buffered downlink data. With this method, Serving GW can flush buffered
data in time but not by error, so system efficiency can be improved.
