Abstract:
This method for forming fine periodic structural grooves on a diamond surface is characterized in that fine periodic structural grooves 3 are formed on a diamond surface 1 by radiating laser light having a pulse width at least equal to 1 ns, generated with a periodic intensity distribution, onto at least a portion of the diamond surface 1 having an average surface roughness Ra at most equal to 0.1 μm.
