Abstract:
In a method for forming a graphene quantum dot, a first reduced graphene oxide product having a first size is formed by applying microwaves to a graphene oxide material. The first reduced graphene oxide product is oxidized by applying microwaves to a mixed liquid including an acid solution, a first oxidizer, and the first reduced graphene oxide product so as to form a first graphene oxide product having a second size. Microwaves are applied to the first graphene oxide product so as to form a second reduced graphene oxide product having a third size which is smaller than the first size.
