Abstract:
An etching resist coat in which a pattern is rapidly and accurately formed can be obtained by applying a positive resist ink that is solubilized by exposure to light to a cold rolled steel strip, drying the positive resist ink into a resist coat thereafter, forming a photosensitive part by sweeping laser light focused into a point over the cold rolled steel strip in the width direction thereof, and removing the resist coat on the photosensitive part with a developer. Subsequently, a fine, uniform groove can be formed on the surface of the cold rolled steel strip by etching to dissolve and remove a part of the cold rolled steel strip from which the resist coat has been removed.
