Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for forming a multilayer coating film capable of forming a coating film having a unique design. The present invention pertains to a method for forming a multilayer coating film, comprising: a primer coating film forming step for coating a primer coating composition on a material to be coated to form an undried primer coating film; a top coating film forming step for coating a top coating composition on the obtained undried primer coating film in a wet-on-wet manner to form an undried top coating film; and a drying step for simultaneously drying the obtained undried primer and top coating films to form a multilayer coating film. The primer coating composition comprises an acrylic resin (A1), a cellulose resin (B1), a polyol resin (C1), an isocyanate compound (D1), a color pigment (E1), and a luminescent pigment (F1). The top coating composition comprises an acrylic resin (A2), a cellulose resin (B2), an isocyanate compound (D2), a color pigment (E2), and a luminescent pigment (F2). The lightness difference ΔL between the lightness L1 of the primer coating film and the lightness L2 of the top coating film is 9.0 or less.
