Abstract:
Provided are a method for generating a highlight image using biometric data and a device therefor according to an embodiment of the present invention. A method for generating a highlight image using biometric data of a user, performed by a processor of a highlight generating apparatus, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: providing multimedia content through a head-mounted display (HMD) device configured to acquire biometric data including at least one of a user's brainwave and gaze data; acquiring biometric data associated with the multimedia content through the HMD device; detecting at least one partial content noticed by the user on the basis of the acquired biometric data; inferring an emotional state of the user associated with the detected at least one partial content; and generating a highlight image according to the inferred emotional state.
