Abstract:
According to a method of the present invention, an electronic device comprising at least two actuators detects a vibrotactile traveling wave event, which occurs due to shifting of a touch signal or shifting of a graphic object, determines therefrom location shift information of the virtual object, divides a movement track of the virtual object into at least three, and outputs a vibrotactile traveling signal with respect to each of the track portions by means of different actuators, wherein different driving voltages are applied to each of the actuators at a center portion of the track on which the virtual object moves and thereby generating an area in which the location of vibrotactile stimulation that is detected changes continuously, thereby providing a variety of haptic effects that change velocity, acceleration, and direction, among others, in accordance with the movement of the vibrotactile traveling wave event.
