Abstract:
The invention relates to the classification of fine-fractional materials which are in a liquid in the form of an unbound particle. Initial liquid enters a gravity sedimentation tank and moves through an inlet diffuser branch tube where a flow is expanded and enters channels of a labyrinth grate in which an active precipitation of coarse particles is carried out. Afterwards the liquid passes into an open conical reservoir of the gravity sedimentation tank which is provided with an outlet branch tube in the bottom and a flume collector in the lower part thereof. An intensive precipitation of suspended solid state particles is produced in the channels of a lamellar block of the sedimentation tank. The particles which are carried by the liquid flow from the conical reservoir of the gravity sedimentation tank are transported to the flume collector and therefrom by gravity to a thin-layer thickener. The particles having a sedimentation speed which is less than the speed of the liquid flow passing through the base of the a thin-layer thickener are transported to a closed-type collector which is arranged in the lower part of the thickener. Afterwards, said particles are transported by gravity to a second thin-layer thickener and subsequently to a hydraulic mine dump.
