Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of waste liquid recycling and specifically relates to a method for hydrotreating a residual solution of butanol and 2-ethyl hexanol, comprising the following steps: a residual solution of butanol and 2-ethyl hexanol is regulated to a pH of 6-9 using an organic base, and is then hydroconverted, the hydroconverted product is separated to produce an alcohol. A preparation method provided in the present invention for the residual solution of butanol and 2-ethyl hexanol defines the use of the organic base to regulate the pH of the residual solution of butanol and 2-ethyl hexanol, the organic base provides the effect of a basic additive and promotes the efficiency of the hydroconversion of compounds such as aldehydes, ketones, and esters, and particularly esters, in the residual solution of butanol and 2-ethyl hexanol into an alcohol, thus increasing the efficiency of recycling the residual solution of butanol and 2-ethyl hexanol. Metal ions in the organic base are prevented from producing a passivation effect with respect to a hydrogenation catalyst that would reduce the efficiency of recycling the residual solution of butanol and 2-ethyl hexanol.
