Abstract:
In order to suppress, by a simple method, delayed fracture from a sheared-end face after forming, the present invention provides a method for improving the delayed fracture characteristics of a metal sheet comprising a high-strength steel sheet. The present invention is a method for improving delayed fracture characteristics of a metal sheet (10) that comprises a high-strength steel sheet and has a sheared-end face (10A) in at least a portion of a sheet end section. Plastic deformation is imparted to at least a portion of the sheared-end face (10A) of the metal sheet (10).
