Title:
METHOD FOR INCREASING YIELD OR AMOUNT OF COLLAGEN THROUGH PH TITRATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/282554
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for increasing the yield or amount of collagen through pH titration and, more specifically, to a method for increasing the yield or amount of collagen through stepwise pH titration. In a collagen preparation method of the present invention, unlike in a conventional preparation method in which single titration is performed at a pH of an arbitrary value selected from 6-8, stepwise titration is performed in a pH range of 4-7, so that collagen cohesiveness is increased to facilitate the separation of a solvent and a solute, thereby ensuring the maximum yield of collagen, and the protein chain structure of the solute (collagen) is made to be more robust to enable the amount of collagen to be increased, and thus collagen according to the present invention is expected to have high utility in various fields such as that of 3D printing materials, regenerative medical materials and xeno-organ-related medical devices.
