Title:
METHOD FOR LIQUEFYING AGAROSE AND PRODUCING NEOAGAROTETRAOSE/NEOAGAROHEXAOSE BY USING THERMOSTABLE GH16B BETA-AGARASE DERIVED FROM NOVEL AGAR-DEGRADING BACTERIUM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/029662
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for mass producing highly pure neoagarotetraose (NA4) and neoagarohexaose (NA6) through substrate agarose liquefaction by using a thermostable GH16B β-agarase derived from a novel agar-degrading bacterium Cellvibrio sp. KY-GH-1 deposited under accession number KCTC 13629BP. The method for mass producing highly pure NA4 and NA6 through substrate agarose liquefaction by using a thermostable GH16B β-agarase derived from a novel agar-degrading bacterium Cellvibrio sp. KY-GH-1 deposited under accession number KCTC 13629BP allows excellent enzyme activity to be exhibited at a high temperature of an agarose gelation temperature or higher, and allows thermal stability to be exhibited for a long time even at a high temperature such that substrate agarose is efficiently liquefied, and thus a large quantity of highly pure NA4 and NA6 can be produced.
