Abstract:
In the blast furnace operation method of the present invention, raw ore material such as sintered ore, pellets, or lump ore and a raw coke material for loading into a blast furnace are loaded into a blast furnace using a rotating chute. When forming a mixed layer in a predetermined region within the blast furnace by loading a mixed raw material comprising a mixture of the raw ore material and the coke into the blast furnace, with regards to a furnace wall peripheral region that has at least a dimensionless radius of 0.7-1.0 when the dimensionless radius of the blast furnace is configured so that the axial center section of the blast furnace serves as 0 and the furnace wall section serves as 1.0, deterioration of ventilation that may occur as a result of a grain size difference between the ore and the coke is advantageously resolved during loading of the raw ore material and the coke as a mixed layer into the furnace by setting the particle size ratio of coke and raw ore material in the mixed layer to be 3:1 or lower.
