Title:
METHOD OF MAGNETIZING RARE−EARTH MAGNET AND RARE−EARTH MAGNET
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/012806
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method of magnetizing a rare−earth magnet, comprising a step for preparing a rare−earth magnet (22) disposed so as to form a cylinder (22a), a first magnetizing step for forming a first area (R1) magnetized from the inside to the outside of the cylinder (22a) and a second area (R2) magnetized from the outside to the inside thereof by applying a first external field (H1) to the rare−earth magnet (22), and a second magnetizing step for applying a second external field (H2) to a boundary between the first area (R1) and the second area (R2) so that an external field component can be applied in the direction of forming an angle of 0 to less than 50°relative to the direction of the external field component applied in the first magnetizing step.
