Abstract:
A method of making a ceramic crown of tooth by molding-baking of ceramic powder, in which a material isotropically expandable as much as contraction caused at the time of molding-baking thereof is used for forming a mold. A mold made of said expandable material and to the size and shape of the remaining crown of the patient is expanded and then applied to molding of said ceramic powder to be baked. A material of the mold is preferably constituted mainly of elastic rubber and thermo-expansive resin, and, as a material of said elastic rubber and that of thermo-expansive resin, preferable are polyurethane rubber or silicone rubber and resin in the shape of capsule holding thermo-gasifiable substance therein, respectively.
