Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of enabling production of an absorber which has a reinforcing layer sandwiched between a plurality of laid layers with simple and compact equipment. This problem is solved by laying, on the peripheral surface of a fiber laying drum (102), a laying material in an absorber mold (in 102m) at a first laying position and a second laying position (102x) arranged in this order, at intervals, in the direction of rotation of the fiber laying drum (102), and supplying a continuous band-like reinforcing layer (53) of nonwoven fabric or the like in the direction of rotation of the fiber laying drum (102) between the first laying position and the second laying position (102x) and passing over the absorber mold (102m) on the peripheral surface of the fiber laying drum (102) to form an absorber (56) inside the absorber mold (102m), the absorber (56) having a first laid layer (71) laid at the first laying position (102x), a second laid layer (72) laid at the second laying position (102x), and the reinforcing layer (53) sandwiched therebetween.
