Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an aluminum composite material cylinder head for a compression machine, the method comprising the steps of: (a) preparing a composite material comprising (i) aluminum or an aluminum alloy and (ii) carbon nanotubes (CNTs); (b) manufacturing a billet made of the composite material; and (c) subjecting the billet to plastic working and machining into the form of a cylinder head. According to the present invention, by manufacturing a cylinder head using an aluminum-based heterogeneous composite material reinforced with CNTs, various problems of conventional cylinder heads for a compression machine are overcome, and a cylinder head for a compression machine, having high strength, being ultra lightweight, and having high durability can be manufactured.
