Abstract:

A gear and a gear mechanism usable for a gear drive system and having a high practicality, and a non-circular and asymmetric gear having a high practicality with respect to durability, the gear mechanism thereof, and a barrel finishing machine; the non-circular and asymmetric gear (10), comprising a plurality of tooth profiles (20) formed of generally semi-circular addendum outer peripheral curved lines (16) and generally semi-circular dedendum outer peripheral curved lines (18) connected to each other, wherein the center points (22) of the addendum outer peripheral curved lines (16) are positioned on a pitch line (24) and the center point (26) of the dedendum outer peripheral curved lines (26) are positioned on the inside of the pitch line (24).
