Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of manufacturing automotive interior parts, for example, a steering wheel or a cushion or an armrest or a headrest or a door liner plate of an automobile. The inner of the parts is in a foam state and exterior of the parts is in a state of artificial derma. A steering wheel sample with reverse texture is made from a silicone rubber which is selected on demand. The sample is placed into a batch bin with aqueous polyurethane coating while it is rotating and soaking. Then it is removed and heated to 150°C such that the thickness of the PU on the sample surface is up to 1mm. Then the outer layer is peeled off and turned over such that its texture faces outwards to cover a framework, and then all of them are put into the mould. Also the outer layer of the PU maybe produced by injection moulding. A PU material is filled into the outer layer by a foam casting machine. After the PU material is cured, the mould is opened to remove the finished product. The processed article has no marks of discharging-material, exhausting, gating and parting-face and has a good appearance, the raw material being saved and the manufacturing cost being reduced. The processing is not necessary to use the traditional metallic mould. The production cycle is decreased by its two thirds. The cost is only 20 percentage of that the traditional metallic mould. The master mould made from silicone rubber has a strong ability of emulation.
