Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CERAMIC FIBER, AND CERAMIC MATERIAL COMPOSITION FOR MANUFACTURING CERAMIC FIBER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/153806
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a ceramic fiber comprising; a ceramic material composition liquid preparing step for: preparing a ceramic material composition liquid comprising a metallic element serving as the source of a metal oxide that constitutes a ceramic fiber, a fiber-forming auxiliary, and a surfactant, using water as a solvent, wherein the metallic element content of the source of the metal oxide is 3.0 to 9.0 mass percent by metal oxide conversion, the total non-volatile matter content of a compound comprising the metallic element, the fiber formation auxiliary, and the surfactant is 10.0 to 21.0 mass percent, and the surfactant content is 0.05 to 5.0 mass percent; a spinning step for spinning the ceramic material composition liquid by an electrospinning method to obtain a spinning fiber; and a calcinating step for calcinating the spinning fiber to obtain a ceramic fiber. The present invention provides a ceramic fiber having a mean fiber diameter of 100 nm or less, which uses a ceramic material composition liquid whose solvent is a water solvent, as a ceramic material composition liquid for spinning.
