Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a complete denture on the basis of a 3D image of the head of an edentulous patient. The method for manufacturing a complete denture comprises: capturing a cone-beam CT in a state in which the patient bites a spacing member between their maxilla and mandible to obtain a hard tissue image and a soft tissue image of the patient's head; and defining an occlusal plane and a midline on the 3D image, thereby being capable of designing the complete denture using the same. According to the present invention, it is possible to make a visual prediction, make a treatment process simple, and increase the predictability of a treatment result.
