Abstract:
Provided are a method for manufacturing a composite molded article that is light weight and highly decorative while reducing an increase in cost, and a composite molded article. A composite molded article (1) in which a first molding part (3) and a second molding part (4) are integrally molded is manufactured in such a manner that a molding mold (10) that forms a molding space (13) by mold closing and has a weir part (15) projecting into the molding space (13) is opened, a flat-plate-shaped first member (2) that is heated and softened is arranged at a part of a portion at which the molding space (13) is formed, the weir part (15) is brought into contact with a thin part (3b) provided at the rim of the first molding part (3) simultaneously when the three-dimensional first molding part (3) is formed with mold closing, and an ejected molten resin is filled in a remaining portion of the molding space (13) formed around the first member (2) outside the weir part (15) and cured after being caused to contact a portion contacting the first molding part 3 to form the second molding part (4) bonded to the first molding part (3).
