Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a cooling block for a hot stamping mold using a three-dimensional metal printer, and more specifically, to a method for manufacturing a cooling block for a hot stamping mold using a three-dimensional metal printer, the method comprising: a first step of forming, on the upper surface of a lower block, a plurality of semi-circular channels which are flow paths having a fluid pass therethrough; and a second step of forming an upper block so that, on each of the upper parts of and along the plurality of semi-circular channels formed on the lower block, channels are formed by using a three-dimensional metal printer. The method for manufacturing a cooling block for a hot stamping mold using a three-dimensional metal printer of the present invention exhibits marked effects by having a cooling block produced using a low-cost material, and then forming, by means of three-dimensional additive manufacturing, a high-cost material having good thermal conductivity only on the part where a lower mold and an upper mold come into contact, thereby reducing material costs, and maximizing cooling performance, thereby improving economic efficiency and efficiency of operation.
