Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a display panel is characterized by comprising: a polarizer bonding step of bonding a polarizer 50 to the surface of a glass substrate 21 so that the peripheral end faces 52A, 53A, 54A of the polarizer 50 are further out than the peripheral end faces 22, 23, 24 of the glass substrate 21; and a polarizer shaving step of shaving the peripheral end faces 52A, 53A, 54A of the polarizer 50 so that the peripheral end faces of the polarizer 50 are made flush with the peripheral end faces 22, 23, 24 of the glass substrate 21. The shaving step is performed after the polarizer bonding step.
